Shiloh Methodist Church Claremont NC Looking for a church? Join us on Sundays for Sunday school and worship. All are welcome. Shiloh began as a brush arbor located near what is now the west entrance.

The first permanent building, a log structure, was erected in 1869. The original church building was 24×16, crowned with a steeply-pointed roof that was covered with homemade wooden shingles. Inside the one room structure were benches made of split logs. Wilson Crawford served as the first pastor of the log church. In 1914, Shiloh was rebuilt and two side wings were added for classrooms. The curre

nt sanctuary and education building were built in 1946, with dedication services held June 13, 1948. In 1985, construction began on a new fellowship hall, dedicated on October 4, 1987.

We are so excited to celebrate our graduates this Sunday at church. Join us in congratulating Teman Anderson Keller on his college graduation!

Teman has earned an Associate of Arts degree from Catawba Valley Community College. He plans to transfer to Lenoir-Rhyne University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.

Teman hopes to work in politics, using his knowledge and experience to help make the world a better place. He also looks forward to getting married one day. In his free time, he enjoys learning new subjects, sports, and skills, and while at CVCC he was involved in both the Criminal Justice Club and the Communications Club.

We are so proud of Teman and all he has accomplished, and we pray God’s blessings over him as he begins this exciting next chapter.

We are so excited to celebrate our graduates this Sunday at church. Join us in congratulating Carrie Sipe London on her college graduation!

Carrie has graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Through hard work and dedication, she also earned a place on the President’s List and Honor Roll each semester.

Carrie plans to work in editing and proofreading, with a dream of becoming a freelance editor and proofreader for new and independent authors, especially in Christian and young adult genres. She also hopes to be an advocate for breaking down the YA genre into more specific age groups so that reading material is better suited for tweens, young teenagers, older teenagers, and young adults.

We are so proud of Carrie and all she has accomplished. We pray God’s blessings over her as she steps into this exciting new chapter and uses her gifts in meaningful ways.

We are so excited to celebrate our graduates this Sunday at church. Join us in congratulating Andrew David Burris on his college graduation!

Andrew has graduated from Catawba Valley Community College with an Associate in Mechatronics Engineering Technology. He also earned a welding certificate, adding even more to this impressive achievement.

As he looks ahead, Andrew plans to go to work full time and be happy. His dream for the future is to buy a house and a car.

We are so proud of Andrew and all the hard work he has put into reaching this milestone. We pray God’s blessings over him as he begins this next chapter in life.

We are so excited to celebrate our graduates this Sunday at church. Join us in congratulating Kelsey Renee Queen on her college graduation!

Kelsey has earned her Associate in Arts from Catawba Valley Community College. This fall, she will be attending Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she plans to double major in Project Management and Business Management.

Kelsey’s dream for the future is to live life to the fullest, and it is clear she is already pursuing that goal with dedication and excellence. One of her special accomplishments includes competing with CVCC in the SkillsUSA State Competition, where she placed first in the state.

We are so excited to celebrate our graduates this Sunday at church. Join us in congratulating Blaine Miles Pearson on his high school graduation!

Blaine is a graduate of Penn Foster, and we are so proud of this important accomplishment. After graduation, he plans to become a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.

Blaine enjoys hunting and shooting pool, and he dreams of one day having a family, some land, and a nice house.

We celebrate Blaine’s hard work and dedication in reaching this milestone of graduating high school. We pray God’s blessings over his future and all that lies ahead.
