Our final day of camp at Wonder Junction was a huge hit. Today’s theme was showdown at Calvary Hill and putting on the Armor of God.

Showdown at Calvary Hill reminded us that Satan thought he had won the battle when Jesus died on the cross, but three days later when Jesus rose from the dead, he emerged the winner of the showdown as he said is free from sin.

The craft was wood-burning a design on a wooden shield that will remind them of God‘s protection when they’re faced with difficulties in life.

Day Four at Wonder Junction. The theme was Led By God and we learned that EVERYONE has a purpose. It’s not always easy to see what that our purpose is, but we know that God is always working in our lives to bring us to the many purposes he has for bringing us into this world.

The painting of rocks in crafts reminded the youth that we need a rock solid foundation built on the love that God has for us in our lives.

We also had a great day of water, fun and games. Everyone enjoyed cooling off from the heat.

We are all looking forward to seeing what our last day at camp holds.

Saddle Up With God’s Word Day Three. Theme for the day was 'You Are Chosen!' Bible Study talked about the gifts God has given each of us and how we can use them.

The Craft today was the child’s name on a board and their drawing of gifts God has given them.

Wonder Junction Day Two. Today our focus was Staying On the Trail God sets before us. Notice in the one picture, two of the campers made a ‘fire’ and roasted ‘marshmallows’ with the trail mix items. Very creative.

Wonder Junction: Saddle Up for God’s Word - Kid’s Camp week started today. Twenty-Five 1st thru 6th graders, Two jr counselors and eight adults are studying God’s Word in a Western theme.

Day One focused on ‘Follow God’s Word, Not the Herd’ reminding us to always listen for God’s voice. Participants made mosaic crosses as a visual reminder of God’s love for them.

Looking forward to ALL God has in store for us this week.

Youth Service Week - Day 5

Last day of the week and the youth had a fun-filled day at Kool Park. They worked so hard this week and deserved a little R&R.

I want to thank all of the organizations that allowed us to come and help this week. Highways & Hedges, Walkin Roll, The Corner Table, St Mark’s Gift from the Heart ministry and Trinity Village.

The youth are already asking about next year.

Youth Service Csmp - Day 4 is in the books as another Awesome day for our young people. They spent the morning helping clean out our Gifts from the Heart storage room, directed by Nobia Summer‘s. It was a lot to get organized for our shopping day in November.

After a delicious meal from the Claremont Cafe, we headed to Trinity Village in Hickory to play noodle volleyball with residence.

Another great experience for our youth as they arise to the occasion of strengthening their faith and growing in God’s love.

Youth Service Camp - Day 3.

Our enthusiastic group kept busy today serving plates, drinks, and desserts to guests at The Corner Table/Community Kitchen in Newton. Smiles, conversation and kindness were also served by the group.

After serving the guest, we were invited to have lunch with the staff. Such a delicious meal.

Thank you to the staff and the guest at The Corner Table for helping make this experience so meaning for our group.

Youth Service Camp-Day 2.
Spent the morning with the Walkin Roll organization in Hildebrand. They are an organization that works with mentally and physically challenged individuals, providing activity opportunities, family support,a Spring T-ball league and more.

Our group today had the honor of clearing out some flower beds, planting greenery around the outside of the building and organizing the activity room.

Thank you Chubby’s in Hildebran for the delicious subs for lunch.

Everyone is looking forward to tomorrow and serving lunch at the Corner Table, Newton.
