Since last year Sept. 2025, our church family has been using a new schedule on Sunday mornings to organize worship and time for small groups, Sunday School, as well as children and youth programs. Let us know what you think!

Meet Our DV8 Student Ministry Intern for this Fall 2026!

Camden McFarland, "Cam," will serve as ministry intern for our DV8 student ministry from now until the end of this year 2026. Cam comes to us from Mountain Chapel Methodist Church, a Global Methodist congregation in Vestavia, AL. He is also on staff as assistant facilities director and assistant A/V Director at Mountain Chapel Methodist since 2024. God has laid on Cam's heart a calling to explore youth ministry, so we are excited to give him an opportunity to serve in youth ministry in a different context than his home church so that he can explore further ministry education. In his spare time, Cam volunteers for Camp Seale Harris, a summer camp experience for children with Type 1 Diabetes. He is a 2024 graduate of Thompson High School. Join us in welcoming Cam to First Methodist!
