Our Doctrinal Statement
Word of God
We believe the King James Version Bible is fully inspired and without error, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16 & 2 Peter 1:20-21)
Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each co-eternal in being and e
qual in power and glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14 & 1 John 5:7)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death on the cross. His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal imminent return. (Isaiah 7:14 & 9:6, John 1:14 & 29, Mark 16:6, Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
Mankind
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but because of Adam’s sin, the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God, thereby leaving man in a totally lost condition and unable to redeem himself. (Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:22-23, 5:12, 6:23, Ephesians 2:1-3, 4:17-19)
Salvation
We believe the gospel that brings salvation is how that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, that He was buried, and rose alive and triumphant from the grave. In so doing He made the necessary sacrifice for the atonement for the sins of the world. Any person placing faith and trust upon Him to save them are saved by His shed blood and have eternal life. (Romans 10:8-13, John 1:12, Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-10, 1 Peter 1:18-20, 1 Corinthians 1:4-9, Hebrews 6:4-6)
Holy Spirit
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling all believers at salvation, enabling and empowering the life and ministry of each believer. (Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:7-12, Romans 12:3-8, 2 Corinthians 3:6)
Separation
We believe that all Christians should live in such a manner as to not bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord. We also believe that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded of God. (Romans 12:1-2, 14:13, 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 1 John 2:15-17, 2 John 1:9-11)
Rapture
Pre-Millenial Return of Christ. We believe in the personal, imminent return of Christ who will rapture His Church prior to the seven-year tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom, which was promised to the nation of Israel. (Psalms 89:3-4, Daniel 2:31-45, Zechariah 14:4-11, Titus 2:13, Revelation 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:1-6)
Missions
We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the gospel to all nations so that there might be a large multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ we must use all available means to reach our foreign nations was well as our own neighborhoods with the gospel. We cannot wait for them to come to us. We are a Fundamental Bible Believing Baptist Church which operates independently thereby supporting missions and missionaries through our local church here at Calvary. This church is very proud also to have a bus ministry and children’s church as a part of our services the Lord has blessed us with. (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-48, John 20:21, Acts 1:8, 2 Corinthians 5:20)
The Church
We believe that the local church is solely made up of born-again Christians. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 2 Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27)
Ordinances
We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to the local church, neither have any saving power within themselves bur should be practiced by ones having salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-42, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
