Clear the Room!
A new beginning awaits anyone who is willing and wanting to make Jesus Christ the Lord of their life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Decluttering seems to be the buzz word in my social media feeds. I want to minimize but I get overwhelmed just thinking about closets, drawers . . . the attic!! To start, we are advised to take everything from the space, put the items in piles to keep, throw away or give away, etc. So, I know what to do, I just haven’t done it.
Recently, I heard the beautiful song, ‘I will Make Room for You’ at church. In my mind, I pictured myself in a room, shoving items closer together, piling some things higher to make room for Him, putting Him in with all the other things in my life. Could this be one reason I often struggle in my Christian walk?
When we become Christians, rededicate to Him, or start feeling dull in our life in Him, let’s take the advice of organization professionals, let’s clear our rooms (lives), put Him in first then make decisions based on His guidance about what to put back in our lives. Just like decluttering, it won’t be easy but it will be worth it!
Let’s clear all the rooms in our life for Him first then add what He desires . . .
