We at NCUU hope your Memorial Day was significant, warm and meaningful.

On this Memorial Day, let us be ever mindful of the high cost of war as we honor the dedication and courage of military service members and their families. I offer my deep gratitude to all who have served and are currently serving in all branches of the military.
As Unitarian Universalists work and witness for peace and justice in ourselves and in our wider world, may we continue to recognize and uplift the humanity of military service members and their families. On this day and in all the days, may you know that you are loved and not forgotten.

Hundreds of people across the country have faced retaliation for filming ICE interactions. But the First Amendment protection is clear.

Debra Haffner’s prayer reminds us that gratitude is more than a feeling. It is a way of moving through the world with care and appreciation for one another. To feed each other. To trust each other. To say thank you for the abundance, love, and community that sustain us.

There is something powerful about pausing long enough to notice what is good in our lives.

In a busy and often overwhelming world, may we make space to notice what nourishes us and to hold gratitude close—not only for what we receive, but for the ways we care for one another along the way.
