Most people have ignored a warning sign at some point in their lives. Those warnings are not there to spoil our journey—they are there to protect us from disaster.

Jude 5–7 reminds us of three sobering examples from the past: Israel’s unbelief after experiencing God’s deliverance, the angels who rebelled against God’s authority, and the cities of S***m and Gomorrah that pursued sinful desires. The warnings of Scripture are God’s gracious reminders that faith must endure, obedience matters, and those who stand must continually depend upon the Lord.

Join us tonight for Bible Study!

We gather every Wednesday at 6:00 PM to study God’s Word, pray, and enjoy fellowship together.

Afterward, we’ll share a potluck dinner. Fried chicken is provided, and you’re welcome to bring a dish to share if you’re able.

We’d love to have you with us!

The cross is not the picture of God sending someone else to rescue us while He remains distant. In Christ, God Himself comes for His people. The Son is truly God, and through His death we see the immeasurable love of the Father for sinners.

Jude calls the church to contend for the faith once for all delivered to the saints — because what we believe about Jesus is not a small matter. It is the heart of the gospel.

Jude 3–4 is a spiritual Code Blue.

Jude wanted to write about the beauty of our common salvation, but there was an urgent crisis that had to be addressed: false teachers had crept in unnoticed, twisting grace into permission for sin and denying the only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

So Jude sounds the alarm.

The church must know what we believe and how we live. The faith has been once for all delivered to the saints, and it is not ours to reimagine, revise, or reshape for the demands of the day.

When the gospel is at stake, we do not panic — but we do contend.

Today we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, mindful of the cost at which they have come, and prayerful for the families who carry the weight of that sacrifice.

May this Memorial Day lead us to gratitude, humility, and prayer.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”

🌍 Mission Partner Spotlight: 8% Ministry

On Sunday we also highlighted 8 Percent Ministry, a ministry led by members of our own church, John and Tracy Willey.

Their work focuses primarily in the Dominican Republic, serving orphans, widows, and vulnerable families while meeting practical needs and sharing the love of Christ. The ministry’s name comes from a simple but compelling idea: if just 8% of Christians supported one child, the needs of vulnerable children around the world could be meaningfully addressed.

Take a few minutes this week to learn more about their work and how you can pray for the people and communities they serve:

🌍 Mission Partner Spotlight: Biblical Christian Missionary Society

On Sunday we highlighted our partnership with the Biblical Christian Missionary Society. Their vision is to see Christ-centered churches established and sustained across the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Venezuela, empowered by the transformative power of the Gospel.

They pursue this by equipping national leaders, making disciples, and partnering with local churches to plant and strengthen healthy congregations—work that includes Bible-based pastoral training and ongoing collaboration with leaders on the ground.

Take a few minutes this week to learn more so you can pray more specifically for their teams and the churches they are strengthening:

Yesterday for Missionary Spotlight Sunday we were introduced to the Makrani—an unreached people group in Pakistan and India with little access to the gospel and very few known believers. Let’s continue praying for the Lord to open hearts, raise up workers, and establish a faithful witness among them.

Take a few minutes this week to learn more so you can pray more specifically and consistently. You can read about the Makrani here through Joshua Project:
