This is Natalie Russo, one our dedicated volunteers. Natalie dropped off this brand new crib to a lovely fostering family. We asked her what drives her to serve. Her response, "I just love seeing needs being met and a positive difference being made in the community."

Imagine getting pregnant at 16 and being put in foster care by your own parents. After giving birth in foster care, you were forced to give up the baby. Nobody wanted to adopt a teenager, especially not one in this situation. The unresolved trauma and instability made it hard to connect with schooling, so you didn't graduate. Constantly fighting for survival made it impossible to learn a viable skill. Now, as an adult, feeding the kids is a daily struggle. Imagine the subsequent, ongoing threat of the state removing the kids and perpetuating cycles of poverty and trauma. This is just one of the many difficult stories we hear from families. We can't assume anything about how people get into the situations they are in. But we can LOVE and offer support when possible.

Shout out to Aim Youth of Harvest Church for assembling this new crib for a baby girl in foster care. This 8 month old was placed in a very loving home 🙏.

A text came from a widow we helped in the past. She said her family has found the courage to go back to church thanks to our support. God is good!

This week DCF brought us a kind, single mother of two. The young lady is fostering to adopt her sister's three children including a newborn. Her efforts and boundless love for these kids should be praised. Harvest Church is rapidly coming together to shower the family with appropriate sized clothing, baby formula and other helpful community resources. It is an honor to be trusted with this beautiful family. To God be the glory 🙏

Today, Natalie and I praise God for coming through for a deserving mom. She was without transportation nearly 2 months. Today, she has freedom and independence to drive the kids to the Lake. Her story is one of tragedy, hardship and fierce perseverance. We are deeply honored to have had a hand in God's beautiful plan.

Prayer Request: Last week, a wonderful local family took in an emergency placement late in the night. We had the honor of providing some new clothes for the child. Please pray for a positive adjustment 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This week we provided fresh groceries for a disabled, single mom having car trouble. She said, "Thank you! God is good!"
