At Church of the King, fellowship is more than a moment—it’s a way of life.
We believe God designed us to grow together, not alone. Whether through small groups, prayer, or shared meals, we build lasting relationships rooted in Christ.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” – Acts 2:42

Here, fellowship isn’t just about Sundays—it’s about living life side by side, every day of the week. From small groups and prayer nights to serving and celebrating, we’re building relationships that reflect the love of Jesus.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds… encouraging one another.” – Hebrews 10:24–25

When we baptize an infant, do we see it as merely symbolic of something that may happen later, or does God formally covenant with the child, uniting them to the body of Christ?

If baptized children are part of Christ’s body, shouldn’t they also partake in the Lord’s Supper? Is there a place at the table for them, or is the meal reserved for mature believers who can intellectually reflect on its meaning?

Is the church divided between those who can partake and children who must wait until they can publicly articulate their faith?

Faith is a gift from God in the sense that He enables us to believe. However, faith is also a work that we perform, as God Himself does not do the believing for us. This is why Scripture can describe faith both as a fruit of the Holy Spirit and as an act of obedience we render to Him.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8

If we believe the Gospel, we obey it. If we do not believe it, we disobey it to our everlasting shame and destruction.

“Jesus answered them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.’” – John 6:29

Any tension you perceive in these propositions arises from your own thinking. It resides behind your eyes, not in the text of Scripture.

The Church gathers for worship on the first day of the week—not because of Constantine, but because Scripture consistently shows this as the practice of the apostolic church. Consider the following:

Jesus rose on the first day of the week:
Mark 16:9 says, “He rose early on the first day of the week.”

Jesus appeared to His disciples on this day:
John 20:19 records His first appearance on Resurrection Sunday, and John 20:26 notes His next appearance was the following Sunday.

The disciples followed this pattern:
Pentecost (50 days after Passover) fell on a Sunday, and the disciples were gathered (Acts 2:1).
They met on the first day to break bread, likely celebrating the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7).
Paul instructed collections for the poor to be made on the first day, implying regular gatherings (1 Cor. 16:1-2).

"The Lord’s Day":
John in Revelation 1:10 refers to the first day as “the Lord’s Day,” likely tied to Jesus’ resurrection. Psalm 118:24 and Acts 4:10-11 also highlight this day as central to Christ’s victory.

These passages and traditions have been upheld by the Church for over two thousand years, standing as a testament to the importance of the first day in the life of God’s pe

This Sunday, we continued our series on biblical child discipline, focusing on Hebrews 12:5-6,11 and Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Parenting is much like coaching—we're tasked with both training (the positive, proactive teaching of what's right) and correction (the loving guidance when our children choose wrongly). Discipline isn't just about correction; it's about nurturing our children in the truth of God's Word and helping them practice living it out daily.

Key Takeaways:

Training and Practice: Just as a coach runs drills with their team, we should consistently teach our children God's principles, making it a fun and engaging part of everyday life.

Loving Correction: When correction is needed, it should be administered promptly, calmly, and with love—not in anger. It's about guiding them back to the right path.

Individual Approach: Each child is unique. Our discipline should consider their individual personalities and needs, tailoring our approach accordingly.

Grace-Filled Homes: Maintaining a home filled with joy, love, and grace makes discipline more effective. When children experience a loving environment, they better understand and respond to guidance.

Let's commit to raising our children in a way that honors God, blending love and firmness just as our Heavenly Father does with us.

Join us next Sunday as we delve deeper into this vital topic!”

Gary Bauer has some strong words for his Christian brothers & sisters...

"Ballots Are Being Cast

Reports on early voting are coming in, and, once again, Democrats have a large lead. According to the Harris campaign, many of the absentee ballot requests are coming from “low-participation Democrats,” which is good news for them because it may represent the wave of pro-abortion women Harris is betting on.

Meanwhile, we’re not reporting anything similar, like a wave of requests from heavily Christian communities. So, as of now, it looks like we’re going to allow a couple million pro-abortion fanatics to decide the future of America.

Unfortunately, some Christians have come up with a misinterpretation of scripture that prevents them from getting involved in “the world.” Or they’re not voting because they are angry Jesus isn’t on the ballot. Or they’re not voting because their pastors haven’t led them properly.

If the Christians and pastors in America’s colonial days held similar attitudes, we would still be part of the British empire.

I have said it in speeches, and I want to repeat it again now: If we as Christians do not stand up on Election Day and beyond, we will have betrayed our Founding Fathers and every generation that sacrificed for our liberty. And we will have condemned our own children and grandchildren to lesser lives."
