Salt and Pepper

Justice and righteousness go together like salt and pepper. Both have a seasoning quality that helps the overall taste. After we taste and see that the Lord is good, we’ve experienced His goodness, love, and grace in our lives (Psalm 34:8-10). Justice is the balance for not allowing our liberties in Christ to get out of hand (Galatians 5:13-18). We are saved but not yet perfect. Justice must be satisfied as long as sin is around. Righteousness is being in right standing with God. We have privileges now based on God’s word that are not available for the sinner whose heart (human spirit) is still dead to God. Once we get born again, and become Christians we are God’s children, heaven bound. We must arrest our emotions, wrong intentions, and bad motives to get in line with what God’s word says about us (Romans 12:2). It takes faith to follow Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Righteousness is the believers portion concerning christianity, and justice is the rod and staff of God for His sheep to stay in line for the final destination.

Life On the Right Track Matters

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His way of living life, and all the provisions of life will be yours. Our lifestyle will determine our outcome for either poverty or prosperity. Everything in the middle is either by the mercy or grace of God towards you or the agony of defeat because of the bad seeds you’ve sown living recklessly. Living a sure thing for victorious living is living according to the word of God (Romans 12:2). The Kingdom of God is a method on how to live God’s way for protection, prosperity, peace, and long life. People who live like the devil expecting to be blessed of God don’t get it. People living by faith as the Lord expects, can count on the blessing of God overtaking them (2 Corinthians 5:7). Even the words coming out of your mouth will dictate your direction in life (Proverbs 6:2). You will eventually have what you’ve been saying over and over, it’s a spiritual law (Mark 11:23). Seek the kingdom of God and His way of living.

But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

The Father

Just as a father loves his children, so the Lord loves those who fear and worship Him. He is Father to those who have reverential fear towards Him. It’s a respect that includes honor, and sincerity. In order for this to be a reality in our lives we must have genuine love for the Lord. It’s when you’ve begun obedience training,(obeying His commandments) to follow His will in thought purpose and action. We are flesh beings, more unruly by nature because of the sin we’ve grown up in (Psalm 51:5). All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). After the fall in the garden with Adam and Eve, we have to return to God in right standing by way of Jesus Christ. Father God so loved us He sent Jesus to save us from eternal damnation in hell (John 3:16). A father will do all he can for his family.

Confess Your Sins, He Simply Wants Us to Own It, Then Forgiveness Comes

If we confess our sins to God, He is faithful and just to forgive us. It is His nature to forgive the genuine repentance of a soul. He already knows what we’ve done wrong and we can’t hide anything from God’s sight. He is omnipresent, which means He is everywhere at the same time. He will not only forgive us of wrong doing but will cleanse us from all iniquity. Justice still must be satisfied, because He is a God of Justice as well as being merciful. But if we know we’re about to do something that could lead to trouble or disaster and we choose to do it anyway, the law of consequences will kick in. We reap what we sow no matter what His forgiveness says, it’s a law put in place long ago (Luke 6:38). Once we’ve screwed up, we must go directly to the Lord and ask forgiveness. He knows we’re flesh beings, prone to mess up. We’re saved and forgiven, not perfect yet.

Freedom From the Task Master

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, freedom. It would behoove us to keep the presence of God on us as much as possible. The presence of God will always drive away evil forces. The bible says, God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). Once God is on the scene, Satan and his crew leaves the area. We are free from habitual sin once born again. There’s freedom in our salvation but not to the point of yielding to temptation (Galatians 5:13). Jesus was tempted in all areas of life like us yet without sinning once (Hebrews 4:15). We are no longer under the task master of sin. The curse was broken, done away with by the work at Calvary Jesus did for us all. We are free to choose not to sin, whereas before we had no choice but to follow our old nature.
Now we can stand strong in this liberty Christ has made us free.

The Struggle is Real, But Doable

If we belong to Christ we must follow His example and live as He did, by faith. It is our personal debt to the Lord to be a living sacrifice for His glory, and our benefit (Romans 12:1). We live move and have our being in Christ Jesus (Acts 17:28). Our conduct should be indicative of His victory over sin. We walk by faith not by sight, meaning our lifestyle is one of sacrifice and victorious living no matter how bad things seem. Keeping our eyes on the Lord regardless of our circumstances will bring success. If we say we are His, we must follow the example of Christ. The first four books of the new testament will refresh your memory on the life of Christ as He walked the earth. Be a doer of His word not a hearer only (James 1:22-25).

The Command to Love, It’s Not a Suggestion

This is God’s commandment: that we love one another just as He loved us. He so loved us that He gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins (John 3:16). Because justice must be satisfied, we must be redeemed from our wrong doings which ultimately are very offensive to God. We cannot enter heaven after we die unless we acknowledge and receive what Jesus did for us on the cross (Romans 10:9-10,13). God showed His love towards us in this way, and the least we can do as Christians is to show that love towards our brothers and sisters in Christ, our true family. Not everyone will be required to give the ultimate sacrifice like Martin Luther King Jr. or Charlie Kirk, and others, but a dying to ourselves by way of no longer yielding to our flesh, which is the command to love in action. The sharing of the gospel brings strong persecution and even harm to self. How much do you love.

This is The Way

God has showed us what is good and he requires of us to do justly. In our everyday life with all the stress of the day and dealings with unreasonable people or demands, we can still remain just in our motives, actions and words towards others. As we love kindness and mercy and being humble, we can meet the requirements of walking upright before God. This world is geared towards negativity and down right evil opposite to God’s will being done on earth as it is in heaven. His will being done in our personal lives brings heavens blessings to us. You don’t have to follow this world’s system or way of living. The Kingdom of God has come so we can live above this world’s demonic influences.

Above All Things, Love One Another

Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another. Unfailing love is a tough love that doesn’t get offended easily. It’s a love that believes the best of every person. Unfailing love is the agape love of God that sent Jesus to the cross to die for our sins not His, because He had none. Jesus was tempted in all points as we are yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Love restrained Him from yielding to the temptation of offense, hurt, betrayal, and every evil work of the devil. If we loved each other half as good as this love, the entire world would be in better shape. Love disregards the offenses of others. It’s not a door mat to be walked on, or all over either. The wisdom of love working in us gives us insight as to when tough love is to be displayed or merciful love needs to be administered (Philippians 1:9-10). Love each other deeply is what the text says today. Love covers a multitude of sin; You don’t have to be reactionary to every offensive word coming at you.

God is For Us, Who Can Be Against Us?

If God is for us, which He is, who can be against us. Today’s verse is an absolute fact that can be relied upon. The more we believe this, the stronger our conviction is of it, and that solidifies the connection with God towards victory. Who can be our foe since God is on our side. The thing is are we on God’s side in believing His promises. Through faith and patience we obtain the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12). Faith is our souls connection with God and His provisions. He is definitely for those that are for Him in their everyday life. The devil was defeated by Jesus long ago (Colossians 2:15), but that victory spills over to us His children. If we don’t know this and then trust it and act upon this truth, we’ll stay in the defeated realm of most people without God’s help in their lives.
