Please check your email for a message from the Stake Presidency about helping with flood cleanup in Beaver on Saturday, July 25.

Panguitch Utah Stake
Dear Sisters and Brothers,

What a summer. We have gone from one extreme to another...drought, fires, and now flooding. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected. We were very touched to hear about those who have helped with the flooding in Marysvale and Junction this week. We continue to pray and hope for the Lord to temper and bless every aspect of this, and acknowledge the Lord’s hand and blessing during the last weeks.

With all of this in mind, we received the correspondence below about a project being organized on Saturday to serve the residents of Beaver. Here is the information (hopefully the formatting will cooperate!):

Good morning,

I am reaching out with some additional information about the upcoming service project in Beaver.

The information below has been created for those who will be volunteering to help them know where to meet and what to expect. In addition, Beaver county will be requesting federal funding to assist in the recovery efforts, and as part of that, we have been asked to help track the number of volunteers that are participating in this effort. To help with this, there is a link to a Google Form as well as a QR code that can be clicked on or scanned to register each group that will be participating.

Will you share this in your stake with those who would be willing to help with this clean-up?

Thanks so much for your help with this.

Subject: Volunteer Invitation: Flood Relief Property Cleanup – Saturday, July 25

Dear Community Members and Volunteers,

We have had so many incredible people reach out offering assistance following the recent disastrous flooding. While we understand these flood challenges are not over, we are eager to mobilize willing volunteers to help affected homeowners begin cleaning up their properties.

We invite individuals, families, and groups to join us for an organized service project this Saturday morning, July 25th.

🗓️ Event Summary & Schedule

Date & Time: Saturday, July 25 | Check-in between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM (Lasts 2–4 hours)

Check-In Station: Baseball Complex Parking Lot at 600 N 826 E

Work Scope: Exterior cleanup (clearing tree debris, rocks, trash, and consolidating piles)

Property Access: Walking required (up to 0.5 miles) due to restricted flood zone vehicle access

🧰 What Volunteers Should Bring

Attire: Muck boots or water boots, work gloves, durable work clothes, and personal safety gear.
Tools: Chainsaws, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows.

Receive Assignment & Map: You will be given a map, property assignment, and instructions on where to park.
Walk In & Meet Lead: You will walk or carpool into the flood zone guided by Search & Rescue / volunteer personnel posted at the entrances, where an on-site property leader will meet you with direct project instructions.
⚠️ Important Safety & Logistics Guidelines

No Home Entry: Volunteers will strictly perform outdoor cleanup and will not enter any homes.
Vehicle Restrictions Access to properties is tight. Be prepared to move in and out of the flood zone on foot and keep road access clear for emergency personnel.

Thank you again for your overwhelming willingness to serve and support our neighbors!

We call upon leaders, families and individuals in our stake to organize efforts to help on Saturday as we “Trust in the Lord with all [our hearts,” (Proverbs 3:5) and have “compassion, making a difference (Jude 1:22).”

With much love, concern and appreciation,

The Stake Presidency
