Coaches Needed for Girls Fall Volleyball

Due to the increase in numbers, we are seeking coaches for our JV Team. If you have volleyball experience and are willing to help, we would love to hear from you! We can create a schedule that works for you. Coaching is a great way to make a positive impact while helping young players learn the fundamentals of the game in a fun and encouraging environment.

Coaches must attend an online Virtus training class and get fingerprinted. If you're interested or would like more information, please contact Angie Wojnar at [email protected].

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As many of us are probably aware of by now, Labor Day is quite late this year. This has had an impact on many things, most notably with the start of the school year. Even here at St. Charles, we made the important decision to begin the academic year a bit early, with this past Wednesday being the first day of school. But whether it’s September 2nd or September 8th, the start of another school year is worth acknowledging and reflecting upon.

If you’ve been to Mass on Thursday or livestreamed in the last month or so, you’ve probably noticed that Msgr. Dubell has not been here. Some of that has been due to the work going on in the parish with the parking lot and other things, and some of it has been due to some continuing health concerns on his end.

Second Varsity Girls Volleyball tryout date for our fall league is Tuesday, August 25th 5:45-7:15pm @ Holy Cross Prep Academy Gym, 5035 Rt. 130, Delran, NJ. Please wear comfortable, lightweight clothing, sneakers, and bring plenty of water!
Requirements: 5th to 8th grade girls attending St. Charles School or Religious Education Program (see full details at www.scbvolleyball.com)

Attendance is REQUIRED for one of the sessions to be evaluated for the VARSITY TEAM. Attendance at both sessions is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.

There will be a brief parent meeting to go over details and expectations regarding the Fall League. We ask parents to stay for a brief meeting at 6pm outside the gym on August 25th.

We are still seeking coaches for the JV Team. IF WE CANNOT SECURE ENOUGH COACHES, WE CAN ONLY HAVE A VARSITY TEAM. Please reach out to Angie if you are interested @ [email protected]

The first days of Religious Ed classes will be Tuesday, Sept 15 & Wednesday, Sept 16.
The first week, Kindergarten and 1st grade will line up outside.

Class lists will be posted outside of the Religious Ed office starting September 5. Please take a look when you attend weekend Mass.

As I mentioned at the Masses this past weekend, I have been playing host this week. Once again, my priest friend from Pittsburgh will be out to the Garden State for a week of vacation. And so, while you may have seen my car and his in the driveway, the reality is, I’ve taken some time away from parish life.
