Yesterday reminded us that faith doesn’t erase suffering, questions, or grief. Sometimes it actually exposes what we’ve really been leaning on all along.

But John 11 gives us hope in the middle of it: God’s delays are not His denials. Just because something feels finished to us… doesn’t mean it’s finished to God.

Jesus still walks into hopeless places. Jesus still meets people in grief. Jesus still brings life where people only expect death.

“I am the resurrection and the life.” — John 11:25

Next Thursday, the facility renovation officially begins at Calvary — starting the lobby!

New flooring. New seating. Fresh paint. Updated lighting.

But more importantly, a welcoming space for people to connect, pray, grow, and encounter Jesus.

Yesterday we sat in Jesus’ words: “I am the Good Shepherd.”

And honestly… it hits. Because if we’re real, we wander. We chase things that look better, thinking they’ll satisfy, and they don’t.

But Jesus doesn’t walk away from us in that. He keeps speaking. He keeps leading. He comes after us.

“My sheep hear my voice… I know them… and they follow me.”

And the part that is amazing? He gives Himself for us. He carries us.

We ended with this:

June 24–27 | 9:30am–Noon

Step into a bright and joy-filled adventure where kids will discover what it means that Jesus is the Light of the World.

Throughout the week, children will experience Bible teaching, hands-on activities, music, games, and meaningful moments that bring the message of the Gospel of John to life — pointing them to the hope, truth, and light found in Jesus.

It’s going to be a week full of energy, laughter, and lasting impact, and there’s a place for your child in it.
