Meet Zane!

Zane Burkhardt relocated to the Cincinnati area in 2023 with his wife, Ashley-May, following her acceptance into the Master of Music in Piano Performance program at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Ashley-May has since completed her master’s degree and is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at CCM. She serves as pianist for both Eden Church and North Bend Church.

Zane holds a degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The son of a pastor, he has been shaped by a lifetime of ministry and has long felt a personal call to serve the Church. He previously served as a youth minister at First Methodist Church in Clinton, North Carolina and is currently a pastor-in-training at both Eden Church and North Bend Church, while also working in security with Kalitta Air.

In July 2024, Zane and Ashley-May began a Young Adult Bible Study at North Bend Church with the goal of fostering meaningful community and helping young adults navigate faith amid the challenges of young adulthood. As they continue to serve both congregations, they look forward to exploring future opportunities for collaboration between Eden Church and North Bend Church as their ministries grow alongside one another.

Meet Pastor Ed Gebhart!

My name is pastor Ed Gebhart, and I am honored and blessed to be joining with you at Eden Chapel. I am looking forward to walking along side you in your journey with Christ and am excited to see what the Lord has for us as we enter this new season. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my family and to let you know a little bit about myself.

I entered into pastoral ministry in December of 2023, with my first appointment being North Bend Methodist Church. I am enrolled in seminary at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, where I plan to complete my Master of Divinity degree in the Spring of 2026. I was ordained as a deacon with The Global Methodist Church in June of 2025.

My wife Lisa is employed as a teacher’s aide at Northwest Local Schools. We have two daughters. Autumn holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Miami University with plans to become a social worker. She also works for Community Health Alliance in Hamilton. Her sister, Amanda, is in her second-year majoring in psychology at Miami University.

I am a lifelong Methodist who heard a calling into pastoral ministry several years ago while attending Lindenwald Community Church in Hamilton, Ohio. I enjoy helping people grow closer to God through the Word, worship, and witness. One of my favorite Scripture passages is Matthew 16:26, “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?” Too often we spend our time chasing after the things that will cause us to lose our soul. Instead, we should focus on the things that will help us to save it. This is my vision for the people that I pastor, that we will focus our attention on God, the lover and sustainer of our soul.

I enjoy spending time with my family, especially when we get a chance to get away on vacation. My favorite places to go on vacation are the mountains and the beach. These are the places where I feel most in touch with God and the vastness of His creation. In my spare time, I enjoy being a sports fan, especially of my favorite teams, such as the Reds, Ohio State, and the Bengals. Other hobbies include reading and playing card/board games.
