What’s Blooming in the Knox Garden in 2026?

Smooth and Oak Leaf Hydrangeas (Pictured here) are the only Hydrangeas native to North America. Unlike some sterile Asian cultivars, native hydrangeas provide critical nectar sources for native bees, and act as larval hosts for insects like the Hydrangea Sphinx Moth. Unlike their "mophead" counterparts, which are dense, sterile spheres with no nectar, “lacecap” varieties feature flat, disc-like centers rich in nectar and pollen.

Stop by the pollinator garden at Knox and check it out!

Overwhelmed? Anxious? Running on empty?

In a culture that measures your worth by how much you produce, rest is a radical act.

This summer at Knox we're exploring Sabbath. Not the Pinterest version. The real one. No guilt. No pressure. Just a weekly invitation to stop, breathe, and meet God in the rest.

Sabbath isn't one more thing to succeed or fail at. It's an open door that never closes and we want to walk through it together.

Hear Rev. Adam Fronczek talk about it below👇

Please join us for this time of healing and renewal on Wednesday, May 27th!

What to Bring
Bring an item that needs new life: A stained article of clothing, a napkin, or a pillowcase (natural fibers work best). You might also bring something once owned by a loved one or a "find" from a thrift store to make new.

No item?
No problem. We are partnering with the non-profit Art-Equals. They will have size-inclusive t-shirts, tea towels, and 100% cotton dyeables available for purchase (all items $20 or less; cash and card accepted).

Who This Is For
Whether you are navigating the loss of a loved one, career transitions, or simply feeling "blue," this space is for you. Together, we will learn how the process of tying and resistance creates beautiful patterns that transform our visible stains into art.
