Today as a lay my daughter to rest, I hope my family and I can start healing, even though we may still be grieving. I want to thank you all for your well-wishers, prayers, and donations on the Gofundme. I do have a couple of thoughts.
Spread love not hate. At any point someone you encounter maybe going through something difficult and that little bit of positivity may help them feel like not all is lost, but in that same vein, show love and cherish the people closest to you because you don't know when they will be gone.
You don't need money to make memories, but it does help. Making memories is more about spending time enjoying the little things that most people take for granted and doing things that make an impact. Making memories that you can share with people, especially those that make an impact is how you can assure that your memory will live on.
On a final note: Although I talked about spreading love not hate, my daughter passed because of a severe asthma attack. Even worse it looks like her inhaler had a recall from before she received it as a prescription. I see her death is a warning to people who need life saving meds to verify the integrity of the meds. I'm not sure I would recommend using expired meds either, especially if they are the "life saving" type.
Good-bye my daughter Olivia Nichole Rider Libby. I love you and have loved you since you entered into my life 25 years ago. We may have had some rough patches, but that doesn't mean I loved you any less. I will keep your memories and family close to my heart.
