Serve Church Family, Monday is a reminder from Sunday’s message, “Tired of Running”: you don’t have to keep running.

In Jonah 1:1–3, God gave Jonah a call, but Jonah ran. Maybe you know what that feels like: the exhaustion of carrying what God never asked you to carry and trying to outrun what He’s calling you toward.

But here’s the hope: God still pursues us with grace. He doesn’t abandon us in our running. He meets us with patience, purpose, and another opportunity to trust Him.

You don’t have to keep running. Take a breath. Trust God. Take the next step.

God is still calling, and He is still near. 🙏🏾

Somebody is tired: not just tired enough for a nap, but tired from carrying something for so long you’ve forgotten what it feels like to put it down.

Today’s message, “Tired of Running,” took us to Jonah 1:1–3. Jonah heard God clearly: and ran anyway. His story isn’t really about the fish. The running starts in verse 3, before the storm and before the great fish.

We explored three movements:

The call we avoid.
The cost of running.
The God who pursues.

Running from God becomes exhausting. But Jonah’s story is not a word of condemnation: it’s a word of hope. Even when we run, God continues to pursue us with mercy and purpose.

What might God be calling you to stop running from? Take the next step and trust the God who is still pursuing you.
