“Unnecessary Burdens”
📖 Acts 15

Are we placing burdens on people that Jesus never intended them to carry?

In Acts 15, the early Church faces a critical question: Must Gentile believers follow the Law of Moses and be circumcised in order to be saved?

The debate strikes at the very heart of the Gospel. Is salvation something we must earn through religious rules and traditions, or is it a gift freely given through Jesus Christ?

Peter reminds the believers of a powerful truth:

“We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved.” — Acts 15:11

This week's message, “Unnecessary Burdens,” challenges us to examine the expectations, traditions, and requirements that people sometimes add to the simple message of salvation.

Throughout history, people have tried to add to what Jesus accomplished on the cross. But the Good News remains unchanged:

✝️ Jesus is enough.
❤️ God's grace is sufficient.
🙏 Salvation is a gift, not something we can earn.

We cannot add one thing to what Jesus has already done!

Are we living in the freedom of God's grace, or carrying unnecessary burdens?

📖 Acts 14

What does faithful ministry look like when the road gets difficult?

Acts 14 gives us a remarkable picture through the ministry of Paul and Barnabas. They enter new cities, boldly proclaim the Good News, witness God at work—and encounter serious opposition along the way.

Yet they keep going.

They preach the Gospel.
They point people to Jesus.
They persevere through hardship.
They make and strengthen disciples.
They establish leaders.
And when the journey is finished, they give God the glory for all He has done.

This week’s message, “Paul’s Pattern,” reminds us that following Jesus isn't about choosing the easiest path. It is about faithfully carrying out the mission God has given us—even when it requires courage, endurance, and sacrifice.

Paul’s circumstances changed from city to city, but his mission remained the same: proclaim Christ and make disciples.

What would happen if we followed that same pattern today?

What happens when the message of salvation is proclaimed? How will we respond when we hear the Good News?

In Acts 13, Paul stands before the people in Antioch and proclaims a powerful message of hope, redemption, and salvation through Jesus Christ.

He reminds them of God's faithfulness throughout history and declares that through Jesus, forgiveness of sins is available to all who believe.

But not everyone responds the same way.

Some receive the message with joy and faith. Others reject it, allowing jealousy and opposition to stand in the way of the truth.

This week's message, “Listen to Me!”, reminds us that the Gospel is more than something we hear—it is an invitation to respond.

The Gospel brings hope to the hopeless, redemption to the broken, and new life to those who believe.

The same message proclaimed by Paul continues to change lives today.

The question is: Are we listening? And how will we respond?

“Darkness Comes…”
📖 Acts 13:1–12

What happens when the light of the Gospel encounters someone determined to stand in its way?

In Acts 13, the Holy Spirit sets apart Barnabas and Saul for a special purpose. They are sent out to proclaim the Word of God—and almost immediately, they encounter opposition.

Elymas attempts to turn the proconsul away from the faith and prevent the truth from going forward. But darkness cannot overcome what God has determined to accomplish.

This week’s message, “Darkness Comes…”, challenges us to consider both sides of this passage.

Are we willing to be set apart for God’s purposes and go wherever He sends us?

And what happens when someone chooses not only to embrace darkness, but actively tries to keep others from seeing the light?

Acts 13 reminds us that following God does not mean we will never encounter opposition. But even when darkness comes, the Gospel continues forward, God remains at work, and lives are still changed.

“The Lord’s Hand Was With Them…”
📖 Acts 11:19–30

What can happen when ordinary believers faithfully share the good news of Jesus?

In Acts 11, persecution scattered the early Christians—but it could not stop the Gospel. Wherever they went, believers continued telling others about Jesus. And Scripture gives us this powerful statement:

“The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.”

In Antioch, something remarkable was happening. Lives were being changed, the church was growing, Barnabas came alongside the new believers with encouragement, and Saul joined him in teaching and strengthening the church.

It was also in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians.

This week’s message, “The Lord’s Hand Was With Them…”, reminds us what God can accomplish through people who are simply willing to be faithful. When God’s people share the Gospel, encourage one another, grow together, and respond generously to the needs around them, the impact can reach far beyond what we imagine.

May the same be said of us: The Lord’s hand was with them.

Sometimes God has to change the way we see people before He can change the way we reach people.

In Acts 10, God brings together two men from very different worlds—Peter and Cornelius. Through visions, obedience, and the work of the Holy Spirit, Peter comes to a life-changing realization:

“God has shown me that I should not call any person impure or unclean.”

This week's message, “God Has Shown Me…”, reminds us that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not reserved for a certain group, background, culture, or type of person. The good news is for everyone.

God was breaking down barriers in Peter's heart while opening the door for the Gospel to reach people Peter may never have expected.

What barriers might God need to break down in us?
Who might God be calling us to see differently?
And who might be waiting for us to share the hope of Jesus with them?

In Acts 9, we see the power of God at work through Peter as Aeneas is healed and Tabitha is raised from the dead. But woven into these incredible miracles is also the testimony of Tabitha herself—a devoted disciple whose life was known for serving others and doing good.

Her faith had made an impact. Her life mattered to the people around her.

This week's message, “News Spread Quickly,” reminds us that God can use both extraordinary moments and ordinary lives of faithful discipleship to point people toward Jesus.

This week’s message, “Who Am I Now?”, explores the transformation that happens when we encounter Christ. The old life gives way to something new. The scales fall from our eyes. Our past no longer gets the final word.

In Christ, we are given a new identity.

Saul’s story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace—and when Jesus changes a life, He also gives that life a new purpose.
