On Tuesday, we came together for a very special all-school Mass celebrating both the Feast of the Archangels and our own Feast of the Guardian Angels! During Mass, all first-grade students, new students in grades 2–8, and new staff members received their Guardian Angels medals—a special symbol of the presence of angels in our lives and a reminder that we are all part of the Guardian Angels community.

On Wednesday, we gathered together as a school to pray for Corey Frank, our beloved gym teacher, and give him a proper send off as he heads into his medical leave for his total gastrectomy. For those who may not know, Mr. Frank was diagnosed with Gastric cancer in the spring. Over the summer, he underwent four rounds of chemotherapy, and this morning, he will go into surgery to remove his stomach and gallbladder.

Our students and staff dressed like Mr. Frank, and came together to wish him a speedy recovery and, most importantly, pray together. It was powerful to see our community come together and the love and support were felt throughout the entire room.

As he is in surgery this morning, please join us in continuing to pray for Mr. Frank, his family, and his medical team.

Padre Pio’s Prayer for Physical Healing

Heavenly Father, we thank you for loving us. We thank you for sending your Son,  Our Lord Jesus Christ,  to the world to save and to set us free.  We trust in your power and grace  that sustain and restore us.
Loving Father, touch Mr. Frank now  with your healing hands,  for we believe that your will is for him to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit.
Cover him with the most Precious Blood of Your Son,  our Lord, Jesus Christ  from the top of his head to the soles of his feet.  Cast anything that should not be in him.
Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells.  Open any blocked arteries or veins  and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas.  Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection  by the power of Jesus’ Precious Blood.
Let the fire of your healing love  pass through his entire body  to heal and make new any diseased areas  so that his body will function  the way you created it to function.
