💙 Could You Be a “Professional Grandparent”? 💙
Some of the most important things a child can have are caring adults who show up, listen, encourage, and remind them just how capable they are.
Cincinnati Urban Promise is looking for senior volunteers interested in serving our students through AmeriCorps Seniors—essentially becoming a professional grandparent! 👵🏾👴🏼❤️
Our senior volunteers can spend time alongside our students reading, helping with schoolwork, playing games, sharing stories, encouraging them through challenges, and simply being another consistent adult in their corner.
You don’t have to be a teacher. You don’t even have to be an actual grandparent. You just need patience, kindness, a heart for kids, and a little time to share.
And we can promise you this: our kids have plenty of hugs, stories, questions, jokes, and love to give in return. 🥰
