Hello Friends!!

Join us this Sunday, January 12th, after the 5 pm mass to meet, eat, and (hopefully) stay on our feet as we ice skate in fountain square!

You are welcome to meet us outside the church after the 5 pm mass where a group of us will be walking to fountain square (about a 4 min walk) and hang out! Those who want to Ice Skate can do so for $10, and if thats not your speed, no worries, because you can also chill out, grab a hot cocoa, and enjoy the company! After we have sufficiently burned calories ice skating, or hanging out, everyone is welcome to grab dinner with us afterward. (Place to be determined).

So come and join us at whatever part you can be at! We love to see your amazing faces!

You can contact our main man Stewart with questions at 567 644 4148.

Be there or be square! (But not a fountain square.)

See you there!

Hi friends!

We are so excited for our next Service event this month...we are making Care Packages for the Homeless again! As we are entering the cold weather months, we think this is a great opportunity to come together to make little bags of joy for our neighbors in the city.

Join us after the 5 pm mass in the Parish Center (below the church) on Sunday November 10th for a fun service event with friends. Earlier this year, we made close to 100 bags, but THIS time, we would like to make 200. You will then be able to take a couple to keep in your car to give them out to people experiencing need when you encounter them.

If you'd like to come, you can bring an item to be put in the care packages. Some ideas to bring are listed below. You do not need to bring 200 of the item, bring whatever amount you'd like to contribute- any number would be helpful!

*It is not required to bring an item, but the more items we have, the merrier! You can also just give a donation to cover the cost of provided items*
Socks
Soft granola bars/non perishable food items (some people don't have good teeth)
Applesauce pouch
Hand/feet warmers
Tissues
Hand sanitizer
Chapstick
Hand wipes
Any other toiletries
Please sign up using this Link if you'd like to come & note what item you're bringing if doing so. We will also have pizza to enjoy before we make the packages. Please sign up by Friday November 8th.

Reach out to Jackie Jones if you have questions!

Can't wait to see you there :)

Hey friends,

Bad news. Unfortunately due to unforseen scheduling conflicts with space, we will have to cancel our discussion, Sharing Light in the Darkness, that we had planned for THIS SUNDAY. As Brittney Spears would say: "Oops we did it again..."

In all seriousness we genuinely apogize for an inconvenience this may cause.

HOWEVER, In lieu of the meeting all St. Xavier Young Adults are welcomed and encouraged to attend a pre-concert talk at 7pm in the parish center by Trevor Kroeger about the evening’s program performance of Rebecca Dale’s Materna Requiem at 7:30pm in the sanctuary.

Tickets are FREE, but MUST be reserved IN ADVANCE at https://www.ticketstripe.com/maternarequiem

Rebecca Dale is a young British composer. She wrote this requiem mass as a tribute to her mother, who passed away from breast cancer in 2010. It is an incredible work. You can listen to the piece here:

Thanks all!

We kindly ask you to consider making a donation when you reserve your tickets. We suggest $25/ticket, but donations of any amount are appreciated.

Hey friends!

Join us Sunday, Oct 27th after the 5 pm mass for a conversation let by Fr. Paul on how we can be a light in the darkness. As leaves and temperatures begin to fall and daylight diminishes, autumn gently ushers us toward winter, we have a great opportunity to ask ourselves and talk about some of the real questions as members of the body of Christ. Such as:

How do we recognize that we are all the Body of Christ?

How do we see Christ in others?

How does that awareness change us?

What joy are we sharing?

How can we be light for others, bringing light and warmth into the hearts of those we meet?

Afterwards everyone is invited to attend the performance of Materna Requiem in the sanctuary at 7:30pm, lead by our music director Trevor Kroeger. The performance will feature internationally-renowned soloists, a professional choral ensemble, and a choir and orchestra comprised of student artists from CCM. Tickets are free but need to be reserved in advance at www.ticketstripe.com/maternarequiem

We will meet at 6pm in the parish center. Pizza will also be provided.

Hope to see you there!

We kindly ask you to consider making a donation when you reserve your tickets. We suggest $25/ticket, but donations of any amount are appreciated.

Hey Friends!

Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is excited for Fall to begin, because we certainly are!! You may be asking yourself “Ok, I like Fall as much as the next person, but I can only get so excited about my Pumpkin Spice Latte, so why the energy?” Were excited because… drumroll please…. THE SECOND ANNUAL ST XAVIER YOUNG ADULTS RETREAT is here!!! And YOU are ALL invited!!

That’s right, you heard me, we are going to head into Fall with a retreat that is going to knock the spiritual socks off you! (hopefully not your real ones though…).

This year’s retreat is entitled: The Body of Christ: Encountering Jesus in the Everyday

As the title implies, encountering Jesus is something we get to do every day. The trick is to start to teach ourselves how to stop, to look, to listen, and therefore, ENCOUNTER Jesus every day. Learning this may seem like a tall order, but, we do not have to go through this alone. Join us and stop the craziness for a weekend, look at the beauty around you, listen to God through speakers, and quiet times of reflection. Add in a bonfire Friday night, and you have a recipe for turning an ordinary weekend into an extraordinary encounter.

Now you may be wondering “Wow this sounds AMAZING, but I need some details and RSVP info…”

Well look no further, because, here are the deets!

WHAT: ST. XAVIER YOUNG ADULTS RETREAT 2024

WHERE: Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford

WHEN: The evening of Friday, September 13th through the morning of Sunday, September 15th

We absolutely cannot wait to see you there!!

Hello Friends!

Join the St. Xavier Young Adults Sunday, August 11th after the 5pm mass for the second part of a Marian art tour and conversation with artist Holly Schapker. Holly will continue leading our tour of her most recent exhibit of Marian artwork in the St. Xavier Parish Center with a discussion of how Mary might reveal herself in art.

We will again be asking who is Mary? How can we invite her to walk with us, guide us, and care for us? Where might Mary already be present in our lives that we may not have seen before? How can we adopt her mission, to bring Christ and love into our world?

We hope you will join us!

Can't wait to see you there!
