This Sunday in LSKids, our elementary kids took a trip to the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus and His disciples found themselves in the middle of a WILD storm!

The wind was howling, the waves were crashing, and the disciples were FREAKING OUT! And Jesus? He was SLEEPING!

But when the disciples woke Him up, Jesus did something AMAZING! With just His words, He calmed the storm!

What an incredible reminder that even when life feels out of control, GOD is NEVER out of control!

And that's exactly what we want our kids to remember when they face their own storms—whether it's a tough day at school, friendship struggles, worries, or something that feels too big to handle.

Yesterday, our preschoolers learned an AMAZING truth: GOD'S GOT IT!

We explored the story of Elijah and how God took care of him in some pretty incredible ways! When Elijah needed food, God sent RAVENS to deliver his meals! When Elijah needed water, God provided a stream! When the stream dried up, God had ANOTHER plan! When a widow thought she only had enough flour and oil for one last meal, God provided enough to keep her family fed until the rain returned!

At every turn, when things looked impossible, GOD WAS FAITHFUL!

And that's exactly what we want our little ones to remember:

🌟 I CAN TRUST GOD NO MATTER WHAT! 🌟

Things don't always go the way we expect. Sometimes plans change, things get hard, or we don't know what will happen next. But just like Elijah learned, we can trust God to take care of us!

On Sunday our preschoolers learned about how Moses lead God’s people out of Egypt, and God showed His people the way to go with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

But they saw that Pharaoh and his army were chasing after them. They were camping at the edge of the water, and there was no way for them to escape.

But God told Moses what to do. Moses held his walking stick over the water. God pushed the water back to make a way for His people to escape.

God showed His people where to go because God’s got it.

Spend some time cuddling with your little one this week talking about how God's got it! and practice the motions to our memory verse for this month!

This week, our elementary kids spent time learning about the story of Daniel’s friends, Shadrach, Meschach and Abednego.

All officials in the region were ordered to worship a gigantic golden statue, and the penalty for those who refused was a quick trip into a blazing hot furnace.

When Daniel’s friends defied the king’s order, they were tossed into the flames. But instead of meeting a quick end… they meet Someone unexpected.

Just like Daniel's friends, we were challenged with the fact that God is also with us, so we can stand for what’s true too!

All month long our preschoolers are learning how to trust God because God's Got It!

On Sunday, they learned about how God called out to a man named Moses from a burning bush. God told Moses that He was going to rescue His people by sending Moses to Pharaoh. But Moses was filled with questions: “How can I go to Pharaoh? What if the Israelites won’t listen to me? What if they don’t believe that You sent me?” And God simply said: “I will be with you” (Exodus 3:12 NIrV).

God gave Moses miraculous signs to show that God was with Him. Moses threw his walking stick, and it became a snake. He put his hand inside his coat, and his skin was suddenly diseased. Moses could see that God is awesome and powerful.

Even though Moses had questions, nothing is too hard for God. We can also trust that God’s got it!
