Looking for freedom?

I’d never been through that kind of pain. It took my breath away from the inside out, leaving me feeling hollow and empty, gasping for air and answers. Certainly, my parents’ divorce was painful. I was no stranger to hurt and heartache. But this—this was a different level of hurt. My twenty-ye...

This week, Marla shares how the loss of a 30-year friendship pulled her into a dark tunnel of grief — and how God's truth became the light that led her forward.

I have learned that I cannot continuously give away pieces of who I am to appease other people. The priority has to be, first and foremost, “I am God’s child, God’s prize possession,” and I have to accept who God tells me that I am. The tunnel did not get the final word; God did, and God’s...

Barb Lownsbury’s newest blog is now live: When Being the Victim Keeps You From Healing

In this honest and hope-filled piece, Barb shares part of her own journey of learning that while she could not control someone else’s choices, she could let Jesus meet her in her own wounds, grow her, and lead her toward freedom.

For anyone who has ever felt stuck in pain, this is a gentle reminder that healing often begins with honesty before God.

I’m a house flipper. That means I search for the ugliest homes in the best neighborhoods and turn them into something beautiful. Where others see mess, money, and stress, I see possibilities… and I see crazy correlations between renovating a home and renovating a soul.
