Artistic Director Matthew Phelps was the first Cincinnati Public Radio studio session celebrating their Fall Fund Drive. Listen to Matt play Grieg and Gershwin, talk about Collegium, and discuss his history with WGUC.

Dr. Phelps is from Cincinnati, OH, where he finished his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in conducting from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. We are very excited Jessica Smithorn is joining us next Sunday for Collegium plays Bach. Hear Jessica and the rest of our amazing artists play your favorite Bach concertos for the Cincinnati Early Music Festival. February 16, 3 PM at Christ Church Cathedral. Jessica Smithorn is the principal oboist of the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Shippensburg Festival Orchestra, the second oboist of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and English hornist with the Knoxville Symphony. She was previously the English hornist with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and was an associate musician with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. She serves on the faculty of Sewanee Summer Music Festival, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and at Southern Adventist University.
