Cincinnati Hillel

Cincinnati Hillel Hillel Jewish Student Center is a gathering place for Jewish students and young professionals in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Through programming, education and community service, we strive to help students find their identities socially, intellectually a Hillel offers many programs at our center, on campus and around the city in order to meet everyone’s needs. Social, cultural, religious and community service bring students together in order to build our community and contribute to the larger one we are all a part of. H

Introducing our Mensch of the Week: Hannah Ciriano!! ❤️🌸

Hannah is a junior majoring in English and Marketing. She is also the Jewish Creativity intern at Hillel 🕺🏻 Hannah has been super friendly and welcoming this past week. She went above and beyond in engaging new students at our Welcome Back BBQ.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! 🥳 This week at Hillel, we have a variety of events lined up.

On Tuesday, we have our Freshmen Reds Game trip!! DM us if you’re interested ⚾️

Wednesday, we’ll be on campus with apples and honey to celebrate Rosh Hashanah 🍎🍯

Thursday, we have our classic Bagel Brunch at Hillel 🥯 and then we’ll be partnering with AJC to host Antisemitism in the Age of Algorithms!! One of our students will be moderating the event ⭐️

On Friday, we’ll have Shabbat Dinner at 6:15, with services shortly before at 5:30!!

Hope everyone’s been having a great summer!! 🌞🌺 We’d like to welcome our three newest members of the Cincinnati Hillel Board of Directors!

Our first new addition is Cari Marderstein! Cari is a designer who is excited to support Israel engagement and programming to provide more opportunities for students. She is passionate about helping students combat anti-semitism on campus!

Our second addition is Kim Newstadt! Kim founded her own consulting firm and hopes to bring her expertise in organizational planning and strategy to Hillel. She was very involved with Hillel in college and is excited to give back!

Our final addition is Michael Bergman! Michael works in commercial real estate and is excited to share his professional experience with staff and students. He is looking forward to supporting young adults in exploring their Jewish identities!

We just wanted to give a quick shout out to our 2026 Hillel Award winners 🥇🎉

For the Ruach Award, we have Noah Nielsen! We admire Noah’s dedication, personal leadership, and spirit as a valued Engagement Intern and Vice President of AEPi.

For the Elaine Rosenberg Bridge Builder Award, we have Mirsayah Wasnuk! Mirsayah has done an excellent job building bridges between Hillel and other student groups on campus.

For the Straight Street Award, we have Hannah Ciriano! Hannah has continually dedicated her compassion and time to Hillel’s efforts and has brightened programming through her work as our Wellness Intern.

For the Colman and Florence Hanish Honor Key Award, we have Gabby Goldstein! One of our beloved graduating seniors, Gabby has always been an extraordinary, valued member of our community in her work as our Social Media and Greek Life Intern. We’ll miss you!

For the Shirley M. Lutchin Award, we have Samantha Abdoo. We are so grateful for Samantha’s drive and tenacity as an Israel Engagement Intern and her work in bringing Sigma Delta Tau to campus.
