Hey, UCCers: The pastoral staff team has been doing a bit of sorting and weeding and plan to gift a box of books to our friends at the ERB this month. Doing any spring cleaning through your home shelves? If you have some good ones to pass along, bring to worship THIS Sunday. Megan will be taking what's collected to Indianapolis later this month. 🙌

***Looking for used book donations! Any friends of the ERB work for a library, church, or other organization that might be weeding their library this summer, and willing to donate the pulled books to a nonprofit org? Or are you pastor or academic in Central Indiana who is downsizing your library? We've received donations from a number of libraries across the US over the last three decades, as well as dozens of donations from personal libraries. We'd love any leads you might have!

Friends – In light of the inclement weather predicted, we’re making the call now to cancel Sunday worship at UCC tomorrow. Please help us spread the word, thinking especially of folks who may not be as connected digitally.

Though we won’t gather in-person, Megan will offer a space to gather on Zoom tomorrow morning. We’ll start right at 10.00am. This will be a 20-ish minute liturgy. Bring your own communion supplies as we’ll partake in the Supper together as well!

On this Good Friday, our reading is John 18:19-31. Jesus is alive and appears multiple times to his disciples. What do you find exciting, comforting, or challenging in this passage?

Dont forget, on Fridays you’re invited to fast with the UCC community from when you wake up through your regular lunch time. Whether you fast from food, caffeine, social media, news, etc., we hope that our fasting will draw us toward Jesus as we pray and fill ourselves spiritually instead consuming what we normally do.
