Good morning, UCC friends: parking this morning at Hughes High School is limited to a ticketed event. There are a few spaces behind our building, behind the Cyclery, and perhaps on the lower level of the Hughes garage (facing Clifton Ave). Other than that, it’s street parking. Give yourselves extra time and grace this morning. See you soon.

This Sunday (8/9) is our annual Back-To-School Prayer Walk. Wear your walking shoes and come prepared to pray together on UC’s campus and in the neighborhood.

No matter what your experience is with prayer, we will have ways everyone can participate. We have special activities planned for kids and will have a group that prays at the church building as well.

See you Sunday at 9:45 am!

Hey, UCCers: The pastoral staff team has been doing a bit of sorting and weeding and plan to gift a box of books to our friends at the ERB this month. Doing any spring cleaning through your home shelves? If you have some good ones to pass along, bring to worship THIS Sunday. Megan will be taking what's collected to Indianapolis later this month. 🙌

***Looking for used book donations! Any friends of the ERB work for a library, church, or other organization that might be weeding their library this summer, and willing to donate the pulled books to a nonprofit org? Or are you pastor or academic in Central Indiana who is downsizing your library? We've received donations from a number of libraries across the US over the last three decades, as well as dozens of donations from personal libraries. We'd love any leads you might have!

Friends – In light of the inclement weather predicted, we’re making the call now to cancel Sunday worship at UCC tomorrow. Please help us spread the word, thinking especially of folks who may not be as connected digitally.

Though we won’t gather in-person, Megan will offer a space to gather on Zoom tomorrow morning. We’ll start right at 10.00am. This will be a 20-ish minute liturgy. Bring your own communion supplies as we’ll partake in the Supper together as well!

Peace to each of you today.
Stay safe.
Check on your neighbors.
Keep being salt, light, and leven in your neighborhoods.

Love you all,
Megan and Jeremiah

Good morning, UCC –

As Hamilton Co. remains at a Level-2 Snow Emergency, worship services are canceled this morning (12/14). Please stay home and stay safe.

Who is in your small group, prayer group, or simply someone you see occasionally on Sunday mornings? Who might have been scheduled to volunteer this morning and may not see this email?

Could you do us a favor and send a few extra texts out across the community? We appreciate your help spreading the word!

Peace to each of you today, and we'll see you soon,
Meg and Jer

He is risen! On this Resurrection Sunday, our final reading of the Lenten season comes from Acts 10:34-43. This is the gospel according to Peter and is one of the clearest and most concise summations of the good news about Jesus anywhere. What do you find encouraging and challenging in this verses?
