Missio Dei Church

Missio Dei Church We are a community of believers located in the urban core of Cincinnati, joining Jesus in His mission to redeem the people in our city.

Missio Dei Church exists because we believe that God is on mission by the power of His Spirit, to rescue and redeem His people, transforming us into the image of His Son, so that culture begins to take on the image of His Kingdom. Missio Dei Church believes the advance of God’s Kingdom comes not through new ways of doing church, but through the ancient way of faithful preaching and contextualizing

of the unchanging Gospel for a changing culture. Our desire is to see the people of Cincinnati forever changed by the Gospel of Jesus and holding dear to Him as their source of all joy and worth. Join us on Sundays at 9:00am and 11:00 am

Ready for some summertime connection? ☀️

Join us on June 14 after the gathering for a Missio Meetup!

Meetups are an opportunity for anyone who attends Missio Dei to connect with other attendees, members, and leaders. Food will be provided as we spend time informally getting to know one another better. Many of our leaders attend in order to hear stories and answer questions that anyone might have about Missio Dei.

BYOD or bring a drink to share! We ask that if you plan to eat that you pay $5 to help cover the cost of food.
Please register on the app to let us know you are coming!

We were made for community. No one exists to do life on their own. We need spaces made up of people from all generations of life and backgrounds to share stories, eat meals, pray, and study God’s Word. We need a space where we work to consider each other over ourselves. No group is perfect, and no two groups are exactly the same; we don’t expect them to be, because people are messy and so is our pursuit of Jesus.

Connect with us at the Welcome Desk after church on Sunday to join a group for the summer term, or scroll through open groups in the "discover" section of the Messaging feature on our app!

We are hyped to welcome Gabby as a staff intern this summer!!! A few of our staff members are stepping away for sabbatical and we are thrilled that she is willing to share her skills with us for a few months. Gabby has been a member of Missio for almost a decade (!!), loves travel, her golden doodles, and reading fantasy. Join us in welcoming her this week! ✨🙌🎉

What if the life you're chasing is keeping you from truly living?

This weekend we explored the story of the rich young ruler from Luke 18—a man who had it all: wealth, power, success, and respect. Yet something was still missing. When Jesus told him to sell everything and follow Him, the man walked away sad. Why? Because he couldn't let go.

Jesus isn't asking us to be efficient or accomplished. He's inviting us to empty our hands completely—of our possessions, our performance, our need for control—so we can receive the one thing that truly matters: an eternal relationship with God as a free gift. Life is received by letting go.

What is Jesus asking you to release today? Your comfort? Your reputation? Your attitude? Your possessions? Your carefully crafted definition of success? Remember: what's impossible with us is possible with God. He can make dead hearts beat again.

During our Sunday Gathering on June 7th, we are going to stop and celebrate those in our gatherings who are graduating from High School, College, or other degree programs this year. We want to honor the hard work that goes into these events together as a church!

If you are or you know a 2026 graduate, hop on over to the events tab of the app to sign up to be honored!

Who are you the most like when you pray? The Pharisee who compares his best to everyone's worst? Or the tax collector who honestly cries out, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner"?

In Luke 18:9-17, Jesus reveals that comparison breeds contempt, but humility brings justification. The religious leader went home empty despite his impressive resume. The broken sinner went home justified because he came with nothing but need.

Jesus took the contempt of the world so we could approach God with confidence. Not because we've cleaned ourselves up, but because He's made us clean. We're accepted before we're transformed. We're loved before we perform.

Stop measuring yourself against others. Stop hiding behind your good deeds or drowning in your failures. Come like a child—honest, needy, expectant. That's where true freedom begins.
