I had a discussion with one of my preacher friends (White), that thought I went too far with a post I made about Trump! Here is one of the responses I made to his critique! It's a little lengthy so bare with me. (March 2018)
To make it clear, this post is no reflection on anyone nor is it to attack anyone’s opinion(s). So let us be civil. Brother REDACTED, with that being said, and with all due respect, you are wrong! We are commanded to LOVE. I love Mr. Trump with a Godly Love! God loves us in-spite of our faults. Our faults are many! Concerning Mr. Trump, I don’t love what he stands for. I don’t love what he does. By the way, there is plenty of evidence to back up my concerns. I don’t love liars! Satan is the father of lies. Do you like Satan? I don’t love what he stands for. He with his rhetoric has caused the evil of racism to rear its ugly head without impunity. I don’t love the way he brings division between people. Racism is a tactic, it really doesn’t exist. You know as well as I do that there is only one race… But he uses this tactic to cause division. Since we are talking bible this is what it says in Acts 17:26 “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; ” My question is, if I see what I see, and you see it too, which, by the way, it is not polite how he acts, do I sit around and let this evil rise again and say nothing? Or do I, as the rhetoric implores, see something and say something. Not saying something has caused many nations and people to collapse. Mr. Trump is a master manipulator and fear monger. Fear causes one to project their issues on to someone else in order to exonerate one’s self of the weak pitiful person that they are! Not saying something is consent. It is saying I’m in agreement with what you are doing (The United States Congress), and it is perfectly alright what you are doing. I don’t care how corrupt and dangerous you are, just sign my bill. I don’t care that you denigrate women, I don’t care how much you lie, and that you don’t abide by the rule of law or the constitution or that you are using your positon in government to enrich you and your family. The congress is implicit in the things happening in this government. This spineless congress needs to be ousted. They don’t care about or address the real needs and concerns of the people. Since we are mixing secular with scripture, there was an instance when Jesus himself confronted what the leadership at the time was allowing to happen. Mt 21:12-13 ¶ “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”. In the mind of the “leadership” at that time, Jesus was a trouble maker. I’m not a trouble maker, but I cannot see something and turn my head as if it didn’t happen! Furthermore, if anyone calls themselves a Christian and supports this President with all the untoward things that are evident in his presidency and also the pattern of his life, I question your true motives. Are they based on agenda? Or what you can get him to sign off on? Is it to support your particular world view? Are you really concerned about the real government, “we the people”?
