This verse gives us a glimpse at just how perfect heaven is. Spending eternity where there’s no death, crying, or pain. Those of us who have accepted Christ have SO MUCH to look forward to!

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

I can do the first and third action this verse commands us to do (at least most of the time). It’s that middle part, patient in affliction, that I find particularly difficult. The ONLY way I can remain patient in affliction is to faithfully pray then God gives me joy and hope!

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
