From the man, not the preacher…
Just got another piece of my family history. My dad’s Army dog tags!
I never asked if he still had them, of course I still have my personal tags from when I was in. My cousin found his while going through her mom’s personal belongings in West Virginia. He went back home there when he got out. It would only make sense that his brother would have had them.
I want to thank my cousin, Pam for sending them to me. Call me sentimental but I still have much of my dad’s things. His KJV Bible, knives, watches, driver’s license, etc, etc. He was a great example of how a father should be. But mostly I thank him for the foundation he provided me with of putting the Lord first. A Godly heritage is everything. I may have not listened when I was young, but Gods promise to him was if he trained me, I wouldn’t depart when I was old.

NOTES FROM THE PREACHERS DESK
“As originally written…” Did you ever read some churches bylaws and doctrinal beliefs? No? Maybe you didn’t realize what they are actually saying. Ask for them and see what they say. If it says what many churches have written, “… as originally written.” You need to ask the snake doctor if he believes that. If he says yes, ask him to produce them. You’ll soon find that nobody has the originals. In fact, your every day, common pastor can’t read Koine Greek. I’ll take a step further, most of these so called scholars can’t understand English properly.
Bottom line there are no originals. So correcting my Bible with a non existent translation is impossible.

WHY I SUPPORT PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP ~
It’s almost Wednesday and our President will be in town promoting one of his health care projects.
I’m sick and tired of so called Christians belittling our current President. If you know me, I’m the biggest outsider of any group. I don’t play well with others who blindly follow just to follow. I’m outspoken. I call things what they are. Because of this, my friends are real friends and they are few.
Here’s what I know, before I accepted Jesus as my Saviour, I listened to church folk moan about abortion and prayed for a president to stop it. Nobody did. After years of Christian people being lied too one man stepped in the scene and defunded abortion. Government doesn’t fund it any longer. Does it exist, yes. Only because states and local governments still fund it. Donald Trump kept his word. That was a BIG deal to this Pastor. It should have been a big deal to you also.
He has trampled down homos*xual agendas all over the place. Kicked them out of the Military. Kicked them out of women’s sports and has stopped funding their s*x change operations. That’s a BIG deal!
Is he a pastor? No. Is he perfect? No. But he’s the best President I’ve known in my short time here on earth.
Instead looking at his shortcomings, why not look at what he’s been doing. God just may have answered your prayers and all some of you can do is complain about how the ice cream is cold.

The world says that the highest moral good you can do is accept everything. No matter what it is. The Bible says that living like Christ and his ways. Living separated lives, Holy lives is the right way. I believe I’ll follow the word not the world.

NOTES FROM THE PREACHERS DESK:
“Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.”
The "weak in faith" refers to individuals with stricter, more restricted, or less mature views on non-essential"doubtful" matters, such as eating meat or keeping specific days.
“For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.”
Through the years, myself, have done silly things that I thought would bring me closer to God. It didn’t. Being close to God is dependent completely on your prayer life, bible reading and faithfulness. So when you see relatively new Christians doing things that are not necessarily doctrinal, just let them mature on their own, they’ll figure it out over time. But don’t argue over silly things.

Remember the woman at the well that most looked down on, when she met Jesus, things changed! Never, never, never count someone out who meets Jesus. They just might be the one who will lead many others to Christ. “COME SEE A MAN!”

NOTES FROM THE PREACHERS DESK:
Almost daily now we read of a pastor, youth leader, etc getting busted for some s*xual misconduct with females. It does nothing but infuriate others. I can’t imagine how God must feel. When trust is broken, it cannot be fixed.
I believe it’s as simple as this: They believe they’re ABOVE reproach. I had one young fella tell me, “I answer only to God!” I was floored that he said it. Being a young twerp he hasn’t seen what I’ve seen through the years and I don’t want to be around that attitude.
Accountability is the key to success and trust. Have faith in God period. Follow the Bible and eyes on Jesus is the only way to go. No man is worth worship. The Bible indicates that some pastors fail by spreading false hope, neglecting their flock, and, in some cases, being described as "godless".

“Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.” ~ GOD

Some men have lost compassion. Not for the lost, but those who are saved.
Don’t look down on those salvaged saints preacher. Those who’ve spent years serving our Lord when you were just a snotty nosed child eating goldfish in the nursery.
We must always remember our job is to feed to flock as our Saviour commanded us taking the oversight and not forgetting the young, the old. The lost and the saved.
