‼️What has Barry L Hixon (Co-Founder) been up to‼️
As a minister, chaplain, veteran, and substance abuse counselor, Barry always keeps education, community, and collaboration at the forefront. Becoming a certified chaplain by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Peer Recovery Supporter with Hamilton County Courts, Clinical Education Preceptor, and a State of Ohio Board Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor supports the goal to "Educating and empowering, instruments of healing, one person at a time. " As Barry nears the end of his doctoral journey, he looks forward to using his esperiences to help others overcome. (John 16:33)

‼️What Danielle Pierre Hixon (Co-Founder) has been up to‼️

With the goals of education, community, and collaboration in mind, Danielle Pierre Hixon has obtained her QPR Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor and Certified Health Education Specialist certifications. As a Co-Founder with experience as a community health strategist and now Assistant Professor Educator, she helped write the mission statement at Psalms and Him based service to the community. As she nears the end of her Ph.D. journey, the past two years since founding the ministry will only be enhanced by this powerful woman of God's continuing efforts.

I recently completed my 1 year anniversary as a member of the Butler County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services Board. As I take a moment to reflect, I have really learned a lot about the needs of people that need the services. This knowledge has really helped as a Chaplain and counselor. I look forward to the next three.

*Late Post*

I had an opportunity to provide the reflection on Veterans Day. It was the first time I have spoken openly about my military service and wore my medals and ribbons awarded for my time during service. As veteran, minister, and counselor it is important acknowledge to all veterans that we are not alone.
