Guide to Bodhisattva Way of Life: Chapter: 8 – Concentration
December 5 (Friday)

Shantedeva’s Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life contains numerous chapters that help Buddhist practitioners learn about and understand the practices essential for cultivating the compassion to serve all beings. Rinpoche will focus on the chapter about concentration, an important skill necessary to focus our minds to cultivate mindfulness and other qualities.
Lamrim Practice and Meditation: A One-day Retreat
December 6 (Saturday)
10:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Lamrim is a foundational text in Tibetan Buddhism that presents the stages of the path to enlightenment. Reading, studying, and meditating on the text deepens our understanding and practice of Dharma, the teaching of the Buddha. Rinpoche will offer a day dedicated to Lamrim including commentary and guided meditation.
It will be necessary to participate the entire day to attend this retreat. A light lunch and tea will be offered. Please RSVP at www.gslmonastery.org to let us know if you will attend. This will help with our preparations.
Kurukulla Initiation
December 7 (Sunday)
2:00 PM
This initiation serves as an introduction to the Buddha Kurukulla. She is often depicted as a red in color holding a flowered bow and arrow. She embodies the essence of action and knowledge and the subjugation of opposing forces. Rinpoche offers this initiation to anyone who wishes to participate.
