Our campus is set on 75 acres of heavily wooded land and bisected by Coal Creek. The base is situated 11 miles south of US 50, and 28 miles from Montrose where we do most of our shopping. The base generates over 80% of our electricity using a water-powered generator. Our spring-fed water is so pure we are 1 of 13 water districts in Colorado that are not required to treat their water. From the firs
t training class, pioneered in 1976, we have seen remarkable growth, development of ministries and many voluntary full-time workers who have been trained, equipped and sent out to many nations. We have sent teams to countries like Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, Tibet, Vietnam, Nepal, Turkey and at home with Native Americans. God has called YWAM Cimarron to be a training and sending base, which continues to be what we do best. We have about 20 full time staff and numerous volunteers at any given time. Our desire as a base is to make everyone that joins us, staff, students, volunteers, and visitors, a part of our mountain family.
