On March 24, 1912, Gethsemane Lutheran Church was born on West Cermak Road in Cicero, Illinois, as twelve people met in a storefront room for worship. Today, we continue to gather as a community around the God who is love, celebrating God’s presence in Christ and in each person who gathers here. We welcome you, today and always, as a member of Christ’s Body, as a child of God, and as a part of God’s good and beautiful creation.

Gethsemane Lutheran in Cicero sees hopeful signs twice a month when their small congregation partners with local, state and federal agencies to feed hundreds of neighborhood families with fresh produce and other items in cooperation with the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
