After 14 years, something least expected by me is taking place. I will be leaving Union effective 3/6/22. It has been my greatest joy to serve you as your pastor. I have watched your children grow and move on to other places and have presided over many funerals helping those remaining to move forward. I will miss you terribly. I love you and Union. God’s speed to you. Pray for Union and the Session as they discern what is next

Sincerest apologies. We just heard that the day was incorrect on our flier for the Christmas Celebration Service. It should have been Tuesday, December 21!!! We are so sorry. Lesson learned but so sad about the error.

Advent is a season of the liturgical year observed in most Christian denominations as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for both the celebration of the Nativity of Christ at Christmas and the return of Christ at the Second Coming. Advent is the beginning of the liturgical year in Western Christianity, and is part of the wider Christmas and holiday season.

Take this time to explore the coming of Christ breaking into our broken world. This place so in need of hope. Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life.

What a great Sunday afternoon! After church a group met and we’re led by C.Farthing in creating a piece of art. She is a great teacher!!! We plan a new project for later in the fall.

Many of us had things today or this week which caused us to have sadness or anger or resentment. These emotions are a part of being human. Even Christ felt moments of anger. My friends, we are in good company! Let’s take these feelings and pass them on to someone who understands us completely. Jesus knows us and as is said “is acquainted with our grief. “
