Please join us THIS Sunday, June 7 for "To Give You the Moon" with Sue Knause at 10:30am
Inspired by the lives and teachings of Jesus and Gandhi, in a world that feels hard and overwhelming, we must consider this: if our Unitarian Universalist values say that everyone has inherent dignity and worth, that means loving people who disagree with us and also seeing their humanity. Sue Knause is a seminary student for the UU ministry. In person and on ZOOM at www.uufhc.net

Please join us THIS Sunday, May 31 at 10:30am for "Curiosity is a Muscle" with Rev. Jaye Brooks

When people talk about their muscles, they often say, “Use it or lose it.” That’s true about curiosity as well. Young children, uniformly curious, will badger their adults endlessly with “Why?” That happens to be the most profound question any of us can ask about life; philosophers and theologians have devoted long treatises to possible answers. The desire to be employable drives most people away from those professions, but does that mean we can let our curiosity muscle atrophy? Rev. Jaye responds with an emphatic “No!” with reasons, along with ideas, to keep the muscle toned. In person and on ZOOM at www.uufhc.net

Join us THIS Sunday, May 17 at 10:30am for "Good Questions" with Rev. Jaye and Sara Wecht Also on zoom at www.uufhc.net

What have you been longing to know about Unitarian Universalism? Or, maybe, about life?

Often the focus in the early years of schooling is getting the right answer. But when we consider larger questions of ethics, morality, and values, it’s more important to ask good questions.

In this all-ages service, we consider questions from adults, children and youth.

Inspired by a poem written by Al Zolynas, Under Ideal Conditions, the sermon explores the image of light that appears or disappears, depending on where we choose to stand, and has profound—and hopeful—implications for our current national situation as well as for our own lives. UUFHC’s portion of the service includes music by Brenna Kupferman.
