It’s that time of year again—HOMECOMING & REVIVAL! 🙌🏾

Please come out and join us as we celebrate with family and friends! We’ll have a special message from our pastor, Rev. Graylen Curtis, lunch, and a fun-filled time with the kids. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

And don’t forget about REVIVAL with Rev. Edward Foxx and Rev. Charlotte Godfrey of Springfield Baptist Church on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Another First Hand of Fellowship has been completed, and we thank God for His continued blessings!

We are delighted to announce that Deaconess Booker is now serving as the Chairperson of the Deaconess Board. She is a creative, compassionate, and dedicated servant who is always willing to help and support others. Above all, she is truly a beautiful person inside and out. To know her is to love her, and we are grateful for her leadership and commitment to God's work.

Union Baptist Church continues to grow with positive minds, loving hearts, and a desire to serve the Lord together.

We invite you to come and worship with us on the first, second, and third Sundays at 11:00 a.m. of each month. Come experience the love of Christ, heartfelt fellowship, and an inspiring message from our wonderful pastor, Rev. Graylen Curtis.

Another celebration down, and more to come!

On Sunday, we celebrated our 159th Church Anniversary, and what a blessed time we had in the Lord. We were called to worship by our very own Sis. Edith Newsome, serving as worship leader for the day. The Booker sisters graced us with a spirited hymn that reminded the congregation of the precious old times in a Baptist church. We were then blessed with a powerful message from our very own pastor, Rev. Graylen Curtis. His sermon, “Built on the Bed Rock of Faith,” came from Matthew 7:24–27. He reminded us that all we have to do is be patient and let our faith in God stand on “the solid rock.” We thank God for 159 years of His grace, mercy, and faithfulness to our church family. We look forward to what God has in store for the future!

A lot is happening at Union Baptist Church!

Today, we had the honor of celebrating Deacon Thomas E. Booker, Sr. as he received the “Right Hand of Fellowship” and was officially appointed as Chairman of the Deacon Board. It was a beautiful and spirit-filled occasion, made even more special by the presence of his family—loved ones who traveled from Hampton, VA, his local son, and a host of cousins and dear friends from near and far.

We were also blessed by his daughters, who led us in praise and worship with their beautiful voices through several selections.

On last week, we joyfully celebrated the addition of two amazing women to our Deaconess Board—what a powerful and uplifting time we shared together!

And the celebration continues! On the third Sunday, May 17th, we will come together to commemorate our 159th Church Anniversary. We invite you to join us as we give thanks for God’s faithfulness through the years.

Truly, God is doing great things at Union Baptist Church!

What a beautiful Sunday it was! We joyfully celebrated two incredible women being welcomed into the Deaconess Sisterhood.

These women have committed themselves to a sacred calling—serving others through care for the sick, the poor, and through social service, teaching, and missionary work.

We proudly celebrate Deaconess Shirley Smith and Deaconess Sharleen Branch-Lanier. Union Baptist Church looks forward to the meaningful work you both have committed to.
