As the cooler weather quickly approaches, Shades of Grace is in need of clean, used blankets to give out to those in need.

The Blessing Box was empty today. It's half full and I am sure it won't last long. Please help keep it full for the holiday's!❤

Remember: unexpired, kid-friendly, and non-perishable items. Also, store brand is great!❤

A little can go such a long way and if all you can put in is a few items, those few items will definitely bless someone!❤

In the vacant parking lot beside the police station on Main St in Church Hill.❤

He was just leaving the box as I came out to get in my car. Peanut butter was the only thing in the box. He unscrewed it, tore off the seal, and dug right in using his finger as a spoon. I don't think he saw me, not that it would matter if he had. The box was now empty, but at least his belly would not feel those sharp hunger pangs. School was almost out, but there were no snacks for the children that come by on their way to the apartments and homes in the neighborhood. I had just a few fruit bars in my trunk, so I put them in.

When the weather gets bad, there is no food for these children, their families, or the elderly. Food pantries can't operate in bad weather. Please try to keep the Blessing Boxes nearest you stocked during this time. Particularly if a box is within walking distance, maybe set aside some peanut butter (and maybe a spoon) to use to stock our boxes when bad weather is imminent. We usually get plenty of warning around here when something like this happens. Remember that quick, no-cook food is best.🥜🥫🥄 Also, a can is worthless without a can opener, so try and grab the pop top ones if you are able. Cold weather items are also needed like gloves and hats. 🧤🧣🧢

Thank you for loving your neighbors in Kingsport!

If its on your 🧡 to help others this Thanksgiving, one can add non-perishable 🦃 day related items to the Blessing Box.

It may be that can of Ravioli. Or that nutrigrain bar. Or that box of spaghetti. That pair of gloves or a roll of toilet paper. You just don't know the magnitude of the Blessing you leave in our boxes!

This is love! ❤️ I know it looks like a bunch of trash bags, but it’s so much more! This is gently used clothing and shoes that will be passed on to a family in need.

No questions asked, if you have a need, we want to help! All you have to do is show up for our community this Saturday from 10am-Noon at 420 E. Sullivan Street in Kingsport. We have gently used clothing for children up to age 12, diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food.

Mission Agape is operated solely on donations and without these donations we would not be able to make the impact we are making in the lives of families in the Tri-Cities. Thank you for loving others through your donations! You know who you are ❤️

Just a thought from a different perspective when you select your blessings for the box. And please - no matter what you donate please only 4 or 5 max of the same kind. Leave room for other items (the chick peas runneth over) and remember, pop top cans are greatly preferred!
