A Prayer for the Kermes
Heavenly Father, Dios de amor,
We gather today in joyful celebration and deep gratitude. For 82 years, this parish has stood as a beacon of Your light. While generations have come and gone, Your presence remains the steadfast heart of our comunidad. You are always here, guiding us, loving us, and calling us together as one familia.
As we celebrate this beautiful fiesta and raise the funds needed to sustain our spiritual home, remind us of what true wealth is in Your eyes. Help us to remember that our greatest legacy is never measured by what we have, but by who we have helped.
Lord, teach us the way of true service. Show us that significance is not found in standing above the crowd, but in offering our hands so that others may rise. May our enduring legacy be the trail of brothers and sisters we have carried along the way, loving our neighbors as You have loved us.
Bless this festival, the food, the music, the laughter, and every soul who steps onto these grounds today. May the joy of our culture and the warmth of our faith be a welcoming embrace to all.
Under the loving mantle of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we pray that we may always be a parish that reflects Your endless grace.
