Last Thursday, October 27th, our church lost our beloved Pastor Jim Donahoo. Jim was 106 years old, and has been a Licensed Minister of our church for many years. Up until the last few years, he was visiting those in our congregation that are homebound, and taking Communion to them. When he could no longer visit, he was still in touch by phone and by mail. He touched so many lives.
We will all miss Pastor Jim. He was not only part of the history of Community Congregational Church, but also the UCC, as he and his wife Lea attended the meeting in 1957 where the vote was taken to form the United Church of Christ.
The family of Pastor Jim Donahoo is inviting you to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, November 5th at 12:00 noon at the church. Refreshments will follow in Bradley Hall. We will sing and pray and share our memories to honor our beloved Pastor Jim.
