Jearoldstown United Methodist Church

Jearoldstown United Methodist Church Jearoldstown United Methodist Church On April 23, 1968 The United Brethren Church became known as Jearoldstown United Methodist Church.

Our church building has a long and interesting past dating back to the late 1800's. But it is our future that we look forward to and the continuing growth of our church family. Our members are a loving and giving group. We strive to help and reach out to our community and to share Gods love, grace and his word to all whom enter our doors and to those we meet along life's pathway.

Wishing all a blessed Father's day, remembering, thankful for and loving our perfect, Heavenly Father; the One who set the standard, who first loved us all!

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends....
These things I command you, that you love one another.
John 15:9‭-‬13,17

God bless and keep you all, in Christ Jesus!

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalms 139:23‭-‬24 NKJV
The Amplified Bible reads....
Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.
Psalms 139:23‭-‬24 AMP
When I'm not hearing answers from God, it's possible that I've put up a barrier of sin, fear, doubt or anything that compromises my relationship or complete trust in Him. So, this scripture in Psalms is a good place for me to start! Another reminder from the psalmist says, If I regard sin and baseness in my heart [that is, if I know it is there and do nothing about it], The Lord will not hear [me];
Psalms 66:18 AMP
Sometimes I need to do some spiritual housecleaning in my heart in order for it to be a proper home for my LORD!
GOD BLESS AND KEEP ALL OF YOU, AS YOU NAVIGATE THROUGH THIS DAY, IN JESUS NAME!

Merry Christmas ALL! In these still uncertain times, when some are saying that SCIENCE is our way through the uncertainties, I'm compelled to say that THE KING OF KINGS, whose birth I'm remembering and celebrating today, might have a little bit to say about that! One thing HE might say, when mankind finally goes to its knees in repentance and supplication (And the Bible that I read and trust says it definitely will!) is, "So, as a last desperate resort, it's come to that!?" Please people, it isn't that hard! PUT GOD FIRST, BECAUSE WHETHER YOU CAN SEE IT OR NOT, HE LOVES HIS CREATION AND HAS NEVER STOPPED WORKING! THINK BIG PICTURE! GOD'S ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE!!
Jesus loves you and I love you! HOLD YOUR LOVED ONES CLOSE TODAY AND PRAISE THE LORD!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! As this day begins and we are reminded by tradition and then by the majesty of all that God has blessed us with, let's all in one voice declare our thanks for His wondrous creation and His mercy and grace! In our hearts, let us allow God to carry us to a time when we all anticipated that day when our Savior, Jesus of Nazareth was born in such lowly estate, only to die for us so that we could declare in an even louder voice that we are all set free from the bo***ge to sin and death and have an unimaginable, deep personal relationship with our God and King, creator of the universe! Praise His name above all names. Psalm 100:4

Good morning brothers and sisters! Before I say anything else, I want to say thank you to all of our veterans for their selfless service and all that it means, including the sacrifices made for the cause of freedom, sometimes taken for granted by all of us, from time to time. Take a moment to reflect and be thankful.
So, here we are, on a cloudy Thursday morning, some of us full of joy for what God has done for us, and some of us struggling to find the joy!
Let's encourage one another to open the eyes of our hearts and see the wonders of God's grace, freely given to us, through His Son, Jesus, and count the ways He's touched our lives and given us life, and that, abundantly!
Join me today in agreeing that we are God's peculiar people, a chosen generation, and let's make a difference in every life we touch!
Jesus loves you and I love you!
Have a wonderful day and stay dry!
