On the Run

Yesterday, we opened God’s Word to Proverbs 18:10: “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”

What stood out most was the power found in the name of the Lord. In the name of Jesus, demons flee, the dead are raised, the lame walk, and blinded eyes are opened. There is no name greater, no name more powerful, and no situation beyond His authority. When we call upon the name that is above every name, things begin to happen!

Yet so many today are on the run from God instead of running to God.

We looked at Jonah, who ran from his calling and tried to escape the instructions of the Lord. But God had other plans. He prepared a great fish, got Jonah’s attention, and eventually Jonah surrendered and fulfilled the purpose God had for him all along.

How many times have we found ourselves running from God’s will, God’s voice, or God’s calling? Friend, the safest place you can be is not away from God, but in His presence.

Today, don’t run from the Lord—run to Him. Embrace Him. Trust Him. Find refuge in Him. His arms are open wide, and His grace is sufficient for whatever you are facing.

Remember, God is not searching for you to destroy you; He is searching for you to save you. Run to the Strong Tower and find safety, hope, and peace in the name of Jesus.

The Word With Whick
Sunday’s message, “The Thorn That Keeps You on Your Knees” (2 Corinthians 12:7–9), is still stirring in my spirit.

Paul prayed and pleaded with the Lord to remove the thorn in his side—but instead of removing it, God responded, “My grace is sufficient for you.” What a powerful reminder that sometimes God doesn’t take away the struggle… He sustains us through it.

And friend, that is all we need. His grace is enough—more than enough.

So whatever you may be facing today, be encouraged. God hears you. He knows exactly where you are. He has not left you, and He will not fail you. The very thing you’ve been asking God to remove may be the very thing keeping you close to Him.

Rest in His grace today. It’s sufficient. It’s sustaining. It’s enough.

Sermon Reflection: “Let Us Walk Circumspectly”

📖 Ephesians 5:15–17

This past Sunday, the Lord dealt with us from the Word concerning our walk.

Paul wrote a stern and sobering message to the church at Ephesus. He didn’t tell them how to sing right, shout right, or testify right… he told them to walk right.

Because the truth is:

Your walk reveals what your mouth cannot do alone.

Many can say, “I’m a Christian.”

Many can lip-sync holiness.

But the real question is:

Does your walk reflect your talk?

Are you just mouthing it… or are you truly living it?

Are you conducting yourself with holiness, wisdom, and spiritual awareness?

Here are 2 powerful points from Sunday’s message I want to share with you:

1️⃣ Our walk reveals our true condition

Paul put the spotlight on the walk because your walk will reveal what’s really in your heart.

You can fake a shout.

You can fake a smile.

You can fake a church appearance.

But your walk will eventually reveal your true condition.

It will show:

Whether you really love God
Whether you are truly obedient to His Word
Whether you are really led by the Spirit
Whether you are fully surrendered

Jesus said in Matthew 7:16, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”

So I ask you today:

Are you bearing fruit?

Are you showing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and holiness?

Your talk may fool people for a while…

but your walk will eventually tell the truth.

2️⃣ The Christian walk is straight and narrow, not crooked and wide

📖 Matthew 7:13–14

The broad way is:

Easy
Crowd-pleasing
Comfortable
Culture-approved

But the narrow way is:

Disciplined
Holy
Sometimes lonely
God-approved

The problem today is this:

Too many want the broadway gospel with the narrow road promise.

They want:

Heaven without holiness
Blessing without obedience
The crown without the cross
Salvation without complete surrender

But Jesus made it plain:

The way is narrow.

📖 Proverbs 14:12 reminds us:

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Everything accepted by today’s culture is not accepted in the Kingdom of God.

Yes, the broad way entertains the flesh…

but the narrow way leads to eternal life.

🔥 I encourage you today:

Accept Jesus, surrender fully, and experience a closer walk with Him.

A little encouragement coming into the new year… let us step outside of our heads and into God’s word.
Weave the holy act of solitude into our daily life by hiding God’s word into our hearts. So, when the father of lies tells us we are forgotten or not enough and we become filled with anxiety; we are reminded of the TRUTH.
