Another awesome Sunday at OSLC!

We formally welcomed Frank and Oswald as members and celebrated them well as a community! 🤝🫶🧁🎁

Commissioned Lay Preacher, Nathaniel Porter, brought the Word to our little ones and preacher a wonderful sermon! ✝️🕊️

The Currents Young Adult Ministry went and bowled it up at B&B Theatres in Blacksburg! 🎳

A lot of engaging fellowship and meaningful worship had across the entire day!

We all have gifts given by the Holy Spirit. Gifts that compel us to proclaim in Thanksgiving to God answering Jesus’s question “who do you say I am?” We answer this with joy that Christ is the Messiah, and live out that truth by sharing our gifts with others. We walk with others and help them realize and discern what their gifts are, and we work together as the one body of Christ for the betterment of the world!

We join the Synod in prayer and give thanks for our Parents’ Morning Out Program.

Across the Virginia Synod, many preschools and childcare centers are connected to and supported by our congregations and ministry sites. These ministries create spaces where children are cared for, families are supported, and faith is nurtured. 🧸📚🌱

Join us in prayer:
Gracious God, bless the children, families, teachers, leaders, and volunteers connected to these ministries. Give them patience, wisdom, joy, and strength as they care for children, support parents, and nurture faith in Christ. May these spaces be filled with welcome, love, and learning. ❤️✝️
