Chrisman Christian Church

Chrisman Christian Church Services -- Sunday Worship 9am

Senior Pastor : Troy Warner

Office Hours:
Monday 8:30-noon We are a God fearing Christian church located in Chrisman, IL.

Our church is part of the global Church. We believe in God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus was the Son of God and was sent to bring salvation for all mankind. Jesus died on a cross, was buried, and resurrected. In his death and resurrection He defeated death and dealt with the problem of sin. We believe that everyone must confess Jesus as Lord and Savior - as well as be b

aptized to receive the gift of salvation. We also believe that one receives the gift of the Holy Spirit upon accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is our helper and counselor. He helps us to live out our faith. We believe that the global Church is the bride of Jesus Christ - and that God has given us the "commission" to share the good news of salvation with others - locally and globally. We also believe that God has given us "His Word" (more commonly known as the Bible or Scripture). We believe that God's living Word has the ability to transform lives. We also remember and identify ourselves with Jesus through the taking of communion; which represents His body and blood that was sacrificed for those who will accept and follow him. We believe in the power of prayer. We believe that those who have accepted Jesus Christ will be welcomed into eternity with God.

Good Thursday CCC family & friends!!
Please keep the families of Sue (Riggen) Lawlyes and April Fox in your prayers as their families prepare to celebrate their lives this weekend! Thank God for the Hope that we have in Jesus!
We are wrapping up another week at the office and getting ready for Sunday. THOUGHT FROM TROY- LOOKING AHEAD- Whatever problems you are facing, news you are dreading, burdens you are bearing will be resolved within two-seconds of the Lord's return. When He returns, he will give rest to the troubled and the weights of our problems will be over. 2 Peter 3:14 "Looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace." Colossians 3:1 "Seek those things which are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father." Great joy will come to those in sorrow, Great peace will come to those who are troubled, Learn to visualize it, meditate on it, speak of it, study it, and pray, "Even so, come, Jesus come! Rev. 22:20 Happy Thursday all see you Sunday-Pastor Troy

Good Tuesday CCC family & friends!~
Another beautiful day in Chrisman. Our copier had to have a new drum put on so our Church Newsletters are going out today a short delay but they will be in your mailbox soon. Thanks to Loretta for all of her hard work in publishing this every month. THOUGHTS FROM TROY- SAVE THE DATE- No one knows the hour that the Lord will return, not even the angels. But Jesus told us to be ready at any time. Mark 13:33 "Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is." It might be today! Are you ready? Matthew 24:42 "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming." To be looking will be the best way to walk closer to God. Happy Tuesday all-Love Pastor Troy

Good Monday CCC family & friends!~
Welcome June!
Happy Anniversary Larry & Nancy Harper!
We had a great service yesterday and Hanging Rock Celebrate Good Times was a hit! We made lots of Cotton Candy yesterday! Thank you for the CCC delegation who went and attended we had 18 representing our church. THOUGHTS FROM TROY-LOVE IS A VERB- A verb is an ACTION word. Love can be both a NOUN and a VERB In Ephesians 5 Husbands are commanded to love their wives as Christ loved the Church. Wives are commanded to love their husbands. We are admonished also to love yourself. In Ephesians 6 Children are to OBEY their parents. Scriptures admonish us also to love our children. LOVE IS NOT A SUGGESTION BUT INSTEAD A COMMAND. Don't forget it requires action. Talk is cheap, but actions do speak louder than our words. Happy Monday all-Love Pastor Troy

Good Wednesday CCC family & friends!~
Happy Birthday to Randy Porter!!!!!
THOUGHTS FROM TROY- SALTY LANGUAGE-There is an old saying: "What's down in the well comes up in the bucket." In Matthew 12:34 Jesus said, " For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Every good cook knows that salt enhances the flavor of food. My cardiologist suggest Mrs. Dash. I cannot eat an egg without salt. Paul tells us in Colossians 4:6 "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer one another." If we fill our minds with the knowledge of Christ, He promises to bring the needed words for every situation. As for Mrs. Dash you can take her or leave her. I choose to leave her HAHA! Happy Wednesday-Love Pastor Troy

Good Tuesday CCC family & friends!~
Hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend!
Jennifer and I enjoyed time with Josh & Jennifer at the parsonage there is nothing better than a family cookout. Matthew is in Memphis on Mission with Street Reach and Josh & Katrina were checking her into her Summer Clinicals in Peoria. We certainly missed having all of them but Josh and Jennifer were good hosts and Lynda is sure proud of her garden. THOUGHTS FROM TROY-
THE SHIELD OF FAITH- Did you know that the Christian's most important weapon of defense is the Shield of Faith? Faith is confidence in both God and His Word, and it is that faith that will deflect the arrows of Satan. Faith is how we walk, It is how we please God, and is the basis for the life we now live in the flesh. Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:16 "Take up the Shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." So when thoughts of doubt or despair come, raise your shield of faith. Happy Tuesday all- Love Pastor Troy

Good Wednesday CCC family & friends!~
Chrisman retains the banner!! Good job thanks for attending brotherhood at Bell Ridge last night, it was an enjoyable evening and Kurt Speece always does a good job. Happy Birthday to Rosalind Neidigh! (The preachers Mom) She's 77 today!!!
This is the season finale for Lighthouse Youth on Wednesday Nights! THOUGHTS FROM TROY today-HUMILITY RULES- Humility is an elusive quality. The moment you believe you've mastered it, it leaves. Control is the opposite. When we seek control over a situation, everyone knows who is in charge. But TRUTH TOLD IS GOD IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE IN CONTROL. He wants to use humble and willing people who can set aside personal agenda and follow as He leads. Happy hump day-Love Pastor Troy

Good Tuesday CCC family & friends!~
Remember Lulabelle Wright who is getting a new heart valve today at Carle. Also Foodbank is open from 11-7 pm. Brotherhood is at Bell Ridge Tonight. Pat Hollingsworth is driving our church van meet at church to leave at 6 pm. THOUGHTS FROM TROY TODAY- FREE FROM ACCUSATIONS-Accusations fly around everyday of our life. Someone accusing this one of this and that one of that. Did you know as a Christian we have an advocate? He is Christ the Lord and 1 John 2:1 tells us "If anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous one." Jesus has paid for our sins, and as Christians we are credited with His righteousness. When Satan tries to convince you of your unworthiness before God, agree that you are a sinner and Jesus died so that you could be redeemed. Happy Tuesday-Love Pastor Troy

Good Monday CCC family and friends!~
We enjoyed a great day in church yesterday.
THOUGHTS FROM TROY-PUTTING ON THE TRUTH-John 14:6 "Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." I love this verse it is TRUTH we cannot get to the Father without going through His Son Jesus. Jesus made the way that was impossible before to be possible. When we accept Christ we "put on Christ" we believe, we submit to, we clothe ourselves in truth. We are defended against Satan. There is no speculation because the Scriptures abolish speculation. They provide the evidence and proof that we need. Thank you Jesus for making a way for us to get to the Father and make our home with Him forever. Blessings to all-Pastor Troy
