Chrisman Christian Church

Chrisman Christian Church Services -- Sunday Worship 9am

Senior Pastor : Troy Warner

Office Hours:
Monday 8:30-noon We are a God fearing Christian church located in Chrisman, IL.

Our church is part of the global Church. We believe in God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus was the Son of God and was sent to bring salvation for all mankind. Jesus died on a cross, was buried, and resurrected. In his death and resurrection He defeated death and dealt with the problem of sin. We believe that everyone must confess Jesus as Lord and Savior - as well as be b

aptized to receive the gift of salvation. We also believe that one receives the gift of the Holy Spirit upon accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is our helper and counselor. He helps us to live out our faith. We believe that the global Church is the bride of Jesus Christ - and that God has given us the "commission" to share the good news of salvation with others - locally and globally. We also believe that God has given us "His Word" (more commonly known as the Bible or Scripture). We believe that God's living Word has the ability to transform lives. We also remember and identify ourselves with Jesus through the taking of communion; which represents His body and blood that was sacrificed for those who will accept and follow him. We believe in the power of prayer. We believe that those who have accepted Jesus Christ will be welcomed into eternity with God.

Good Tuesday CCC family & friends!~
Hope you all had a great Labor Day Weekend! We were missing quite of few of you Sunday. This plans to be a busy week as we prepare for Chrisman Days this coming weekend. The Craguns are coming next Sunday for Community Worship in the Park at 10 a.m. we have had them here at CCC and they are a blessing so plan on joining your community for Worship. THOUGHTS FROM TROY-THE GIFT OF GRACE- Every adult has experienced it- being a dispenser of or recipient of Grace. Your child acts up and deserves to be punished but you break his or her rebellious Spirit with a loving hug. Or you treat your spouse badly but receive a smile and a "I love you" in return. Or you feel your actions displeased God, and you read in your Bible that his mercies are new every morning. When God extends his grace to us as sinners or enemies it should melt our heart. It's hard to be angry with someone who has every reason to turn away from us but instead comes towards us. Think of the Prodigal Son Story in Luke Chapter 15. When you read this you realize that Grace is a gift, pure and simple. One that we don't deserve. It is a love that gives and loves the unlovable. 1 Timothy 1;15- "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief."
Who needs some grace? Happy Tuesday all- Love Pastor Troy

Good Thursday CCC family & friends!~
Happy Birthday to Jenni Brinkley, Larry Henson and Loretta F**g!
Grow Team meets today at 10:30 THOUGHTS FROM TROY-THE SECRET PLACE- While He was here on the earth, Jesus talked to the Father in prayer. He prayed publicly with the crowds as well as privately. The Scriptures often describe the times that Jesus withdrew from the masses to talk to His Father. The importance of prayer is indisputable. There are numerous references about prayer. Jesus taught the disciples to have a Secret Place for prayer. Matthew 6:6 "When you pray, go to your room, when you have shut the door, pray to your father who is in secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Don't pray when you feel like it, Have a regular prayer appointment and Secret Place and Don't forget to pray. Happy Thursday-Love Pastor Troy

Good Wednesday CCC family & friends! ~
I had a busy day yesterday and didn't get to post. Welcome September! Fall arrives in 22 days I am ready! Jam is this afternoon afterschool from 3-6 pm. THOUGHTS FROM TROY- HEALING FOR THE SOUL- Admitting a struggle with sin can be hard, but it is the first step to overcome it. In the parable of the tax collector the Pharisee points out his own righteousness while the tax collector points out his sin (Luke 18:9-14). It is the tax collector that is commended for his humility. The second step outlined by James is Confession, "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another that you may be healed." James 5:16
Regardless of your past record, you do not need to be defeated by sins strongholds! You can request the prayers of a trusted friend, Christian counselor, or Pastor. Today is the day to take that step toward healing. It begins with confession and sounds something like this: Lord, I come to you and I confess that I am a sinner..........
Happy Wednesday all-Love Pastor Troy Stay cool and Hydrated!

Good Monday CCC family & friends!~
Our last day of August is here. Happy Birthday to Tom Henson!
THOUGHT FROM TROY- REFLECTING GRACE- Grace is unmerited favor, undeserved blessings, It's what the song calls Amazing! It takes away the chains of sin. We have been saved by GRACE through FAITH, A gift that keeps on giving. God's grace is brilliant, it heals, illuminates, and understands. Grace is not a one-way experience. We should feed our Spirit with God's Word and Minister with Grace to others, so that it will touch them and connect them to Savior. Paul wrote in Galatians 5:25 "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Another song comes to mind "It's all because of God's Amazing Grace, because on Calvary's mountain, He took our place, and someday, some glorious morning, we shall see Him face to face. Because it's all because of God's great grace." Happy Monday all- Goodbye August 26! Love Pastor Troy

Good Thursday CCC family & friends!~
Happy Birthday a day early to DJ Elliott and Samuel Burmood!
We had a good first night of JAM 23 kids in attendance last night! We still could use some volunteers. THOUGHTS FROM TROY-WORSHIP IN OBEDIENCE- We teach children obedience. We tell them that it is good for them. We told our students last night that rewards would be for those who basically are obedient. Did you ever think that the same is true for our WORSHIP? Scripture tells us that we will blessed. When we open our hearts to God and acknowledge that there is no one higher, no one greater, no one like our God. It brings God pleasure. God is God and through Worship we receive the amazing blessing of meeting with our Maker. Psalm 95:6 "Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." Don't forget to take time out for Worship today! I look forward to Worshipping with you on Sunday.
Hope to see you there! - Love Pastor Troy

Good Wednesday CCC family & friends!~
JAM-Jesus and Me for grades K-5th starts this afternoon after school! Please pray for a wonderful first meeting with the kids. Thank You to those who have stepped up to help! You are a blessing and You will be blessed!
THOUGHTS FROM TROY- THE OFFENSE OF THE CROSS- As children of God we enjoy an intimacy and security in Christ, even though sometimes we must endure persecution for our faith. Yet we should never be discouraged. We have liberty in Christ, and the promise of eternal life, and are a blessed people. But we must remember why! It is all because of what Jesus did on the Cross.
No matter what may come we will stand. Paul wrote, "God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."
Happy hump day! Love Pastor Troy

Good Tuesday CCC family & friends!
The last Tuesday of August is here and September will soon begin knocking on the door. THOUGHTS FROM TROY-TIME TO GROW UP
Family experts advise parents to teach their children from the get go to put away their toys. As soon as toddlers walk, they are taught to pick up after themselves. It becomes a part of routine just like the bath, prayers and story before bed. The idea is that we grow older, we will do the same but not have to be told to do it. As we mature we should want to live well-mannered lives. In the same way, the law was given when God's people were in their childhood. The law treats people like babies. Everything is spelled out. But with the coming of Christ, we are free as Christians to live out our lives as mature sons and daughters of Christ and not under the supervision of the law. It's time to grow up. We are not under the law anymore, but instead we are under grace. We have been set free from man made rules to walk instead in the Spirit and live out our faith with confidence and freedom. God's gifts will put our best dreams to shame. Paul writes in Galatians 4:7 "Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." Happy Tuesday all- Love Pastor Troy

Good Monday CCC family & friends~
A wonderful weekend with Dixie Echoes Quartet on Friday Night and a great service yesterday at church! Choir and Drama team practice was great with some new members! THOUGHTS FROM TROY- MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL- It seems that retailers did a study and researchers found that 90% of women in their 40's and 50's were unhappy about what they see in the mirror 4 times more unhappier than teenage girls. Not so fast Christians, time enhances our appearance because the joy of the Lord shines through. But how much better to gaze into the mirror of God's Word! James says that the law of the mirror is to show us what we are like Without Christ. James 1:25 "He who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer this one will be blessed in what he does. Study His Word today and see the mirror image of Christ. Warren Wiersbe said, "The mirror of the Word not only examines us and reveals our sins, but it helps to cleanse us as well."
So, go ahead and take a look! Happy Monday-Love Pastor Troy
