Chrisman Christian Church

Chrisman Christian Church Services -- Sunday Worship 9am

Senior Pastor : Troy Warner

Office Hours:
Monday 8:30-noon We are a God fearing Christian church located in Chrisman, IL.

Our church is part of the global Church. We believe in God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus was the Son of God and was sent to bring salvation for all mankind. Jesus died on a cross, was buried, and resurrected. In his death and resurrection He defeated death and dealt with the problem of sin. We believe that everyone must confess Jesus as Lord and Savior - as well as be b

aptized to receive the gift of salvation. We also believe that one receives the gift of the Holy Spirit upon accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is our helper and counselor. He helps us to live out our faith. We believe that the global Church is the bride of Jesus Christ - and that God has given us the "commission" to share the good news of salvation with others - locally and globally. We also believe that God has given us "His Word" (more commonly known as the Bible or Scripture). We believe that God's living Word has the ability to transform lives. We also remember and identify ourselves with Jesus through the taking of communion; which represents His body and blood that was sacrificed for those who will accept and follow him. We believe in the power of prayer. We believe that those who have accepted Jesus Christ will be welcomed into eternity with God.

Good Thursday CCC family & friends!~
Thank God for taking care of us through the storm last night.
Pray for Charleston and Marshall they got hit pretty hard.
We will be postpone our trip to see Lulubelle since Charleston is cleaning up today. She said they had limited power but they were all good. THOUGHTS FROM TROY-TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS-
I love that old hymn. According to the Bible, the god of this age has blinded the eyes of those pershing, lest the light of God's glory shines on us (2 Corinthians4:4). But as Christians, we have the scriptures implanted in our vision. We understand that Christ is coming again. Even though we see the perilous times, we can see Jesus and always look to Him for a healthy vision. The song sings, " There's light for a look at the Savior, and life more abundant and free. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace." Happy Thursday all-Love Pastor Troy

Good Wednesday CCC family & friends!~

THOUGHTS FROM TROY- THE POSSIBILITIES OF FAITH- Have you ever stopped to think about what people will say about you when your gone? It may seem weird to think about something that you won't even be here for. What do you want them to say? In Hebrews 11 the chapter deals with Faith and verse 6 says, "Without Faith it is impossible to please God." In verse 5 we read, " By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, and was not found because God had taken him." He didn't die, one moment he was here and the next p**f! He was gone. To his family and friends who searched for him he literally disappeared from the face of the earth. He was transformed into the presence of God in a heartbeat. Now think about your life! Are you walking with God? Are you having faith that he commanded us to have? As sure as you live and breathe there is time now to walk in faith with God today. It is never too late. Happy Wednesday Love Pastor Troy

The Church Van will leave at 6:15 for Brotherhood at Metcalf Christian Church tonight! Come park at the church and ride out together for fun and fellowship. THOUGHT FROM TROY- JOY IN THE MORNING- Nancy , Vicki and I used to sing a song with that title. Hold on my child, Joy Comes in the Morning, weeping only last for the night. The Great tribulation is to last three and a half years, and not a moment longer. If it were to last longer it is believed that no one would survive. That is true also about our present troubles. Sometimes we feel that our problems have no end. No light at the end of the tunnel, no joy at the end of our sadness. The Psalmist expresses this in Psalm 13:1-2 "How long, O Lord? will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long should I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily?" Keep reading because in verse 5, he writes, "I have trusted in your mercy," and in the final verse he exclaims, " I will sing to the Lord , because He has dealt bountifully with me." In Christ, all of our blessings are eternal. Don't give up. There will be joy in the morning. Happy Tuesday all-Love Pastor Troy

Happy Anniversary to Gene & Rose Rigdon!!!!

THOUGHTS FROM TROY- THE RIVAL BROTHERS- One thing I can say is that my brothers and I never were Rival brothers. We grew up close knit and have been that way forever. Cain and Abel not so much. Abel was willing and obedient and did everything in his power to please God. Cain was angry and stubborn. Genesis 4 relates how they offered sacrifices. You go on to read about the jealousy between the two. Cain kills Abel refuses to repent and is banished from God's presence. The message is simple. Faith pleases and sin separates. By faith Abel became the hero and through sin Cain became the outcast. Max Lucado writes, "Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." So whatever you do today act in faith like Abel. Ladies Fellowship Meeting tonight 6 pm!
THOUGHT FROM TROY-"ENCOURAGEMENT" Everyone needs encouragement. Everyone could use a positive comment or compliment even. We all have troubles, trials and a bad day every now and again. If there is one thing that God tells us it is that we will be tested. Paul wrote about it in Colossians 2 and in verse 2 we read, " Their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining all riches in full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God." Life is full of success and failures. Thomas Edison is quoted for saying,"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work." In order to support and encourage others, we have to stay encouraged ourselves, and we must learn to think and believe and live with assurance and conviction. Based on the promises found in God's Word, we have every reason to be optimistic. It is the "can do" attitude that strokes the flames of God in the life of others. Be encouraged! Happy Thursday can't wait to gather and Worship with you on Sunday!

Good Wednesday CCC family & friends!~
Happy Birthday Sandra Burmood!!!!!
Stay hydrated and Stay Cool its going to be a hot one in Chrisman!
THOUGHT FROM TROY-HISTORY'S MONSTER-A Syrian general found in the book of Daniel, has to be the most despicable characters that we read about. He got the Israelites to forsake their religion and burn their scriptures, paganize their children and turn away from God. The Antichrist has to be the biggest monster this world will face. Every generation of believers faces opposition and persecution. But those who know their God will be strong and do great. With Christ beside us, we will not fear being conquered. The power of God working through a faithful servant is a mighty thing.
Matthew Henry is quoted for saying, "The right knowledge of God is strength for the soul, and, in the strength of that, gracious souls do exploit." Make sure you exploit the Savior, Make certain you Exalt Him, Equip yourselves with the Word, and Evangelize the Lost.
Happy Hump day-Love Pastor Troy

Good Tuesday CCC family & friends!~
HAPPY 95TH BIRTHDAY DOROTHY QUICK!
THOUGHT FROM TROY- READY FOR ANYTHING- Are you ready? I think the answer to the question is based on what you are talking about. If I said, " Are you ready for the Lord?" what would your answer be? Jesus warned of an increasing number of earthquakes, along with famines and pestilences, as we get closer to the day that the Lord will return. We all see the disasters and marvel at the condition of the world. But we don't have to fear. We should take these things as reminders to be watching, waiting, and praying. Luke 12:40 "Be ready, for the Son of Man is coming." Happy Tuesday all-Love Pastor Troy

Good Thursday CCC family & friends!!
Please keep the families of Sue (Riggen) Lawlyes and April Fox in your prayers as their families prepare to celebrate their lives this weekend! Thank God for the Hope that we have in Jesus!
We are wrapping up another week at the office and getting ready for Sunday. THOUGHT FROM TROY- LOOKING AHEAD- Whatever problems you are facing, news you are dreading, burdens you are bearing will be resolved within two-seconds of the Lord's return. When He returns, he will give rest to the troubled and the weights of our problems will be over. 2 Peter 3:14 "Looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace." Colossians 3:1 "Seek those things which are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father." Great joy will come to those in sorrow, Great peace will come to those who are troubled, Learn to visualize it, meditate on it, speak of it, study it, and pray, "Even so, come, Jesus come! Rev. 22:20 Happy Thursday all see you Sunday-Pastor Troy

Good Tuesday CCC family & friends!~
Another beautiful day in Chrisman. Our copier had to have a new drum put on so our Church Newsletters are going out today a short delay but they will be in your mailbox soon. Thanks to Loretta for all of her hard work in publishing this every month. THOUGHTS FROM TROY- SAVE THE DATE- No one knows the hour that the Lord will return, not even the angels. But Jesus told us to be ready at any time. Mark 13:33 "Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is." It might be today! Are you ready? Matthew 24:42 "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming." To be looking will be the best way to walk closer to God. Happy Tuesday all-Love Pastor Troy
