What do you do with the moments when God feels far away, when you've been praying for weeks and nothing seems to be moving?
This past Sunday, Pastor Logan walked us through one of the most personal and tender moments in the book of Daniel. Three times in Daniel's dirtiest, most delayed, and most depleted moments God sends a messenger with the same word:
"Daniel, you are greatly loved."
The Hebrew word for "greatly loved" (chamudot) is the same word used for coveting in the Ten Commandments. It's not just love, it's longing. God treasures Daniel like a prized possession. And through what Christ has done, that same truth belongs to every one of us.
Pastor Logan shared three moments from Daniel 9β10 that connect straight to where many of us live:
πΉ In your dirty moments, even when you're weighed down by guilt and sin, God hears you and loves you.
πΉ In your delayed moments, even when your prayer feels unanswered, God is at work. The angel fought 21 days to get to Daniel. God hadn't forgotten him, and he hasn't forgotten you.
πΉ In your darkest moments, when you have nothing left, God shows up to strengthen you.
This was also a special word for our graduates heading into new seasons. Whatever comes next, you can carry this with you: you are greatly loved.
"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." β Ephesians 2:10
