Well friends it is now official. I am retiring from my Pastoral ministry. I have been serving the wonderful people of Cornerstone Community Church of the Nazarene for 27 1/2 as Senior Pastor and another two years as Youth Pastor. The people of Cornerstone have been WONDERFUL people to serve! They have blessed Sue and I beyond words. They lovingly and patiently walked with us through our daughter Sherry's cancer and death (four years ago today). To say "We love You" feels incredibly inadequate, but they are the only words I have.
It has also been a blessing an honor to serve the City of Chino these past 27 years. I have served on the Chamber of Commerce, The YMCA and best of all 27 years as a Police Chaplain. I will be stepping down from my position as chaplain on October 30th.
I do not have the actual date set for my last Sunday at Cornerstone, but most likely it will be Sunday November 11th. I will update this when I can set the date for certain.
This is a VERY emotional time for both Sue and I and I have more to share, but today especially with the remembrance of my daughter's death it is too hard to say much. I will update this post in a few days.
THANK YOU to my Cornerstone family for allowing me to serve you all these years. You will get a few extra jewels in your heavenly crown for putting up with me all these years.
