Celebrate Easter with us at Echo Church!

Easter is one of the times of the year where people who normally don't attend church are more willing to attend. And so this is a really great opportunity to invite your friends and family members who haven't been to church in a while or have never been at all to come hear the good news that Jesus has given us.

We will be having a Good Friday service on April 18th at 6:30pm where we remind ourselves of the death of Christ for our sins. It will be a family service with worship, a word from Pastor JD, and ending with communion.

Then April 20th at 10:30am, we will have our Easter service celebrating the resurrection of Christ from the dead.

Please spread the word and invite your friends!

The Puritans encouraged Christians to preach to themselves.

Famed preacher Richard Baxter said that self-preaching is "a lawful and a gainful way of preaching. Nobody can silence you, if you do not silence yourself. Two or three sermons a week from others is a fair proportion: but two or three sermons a day from yourself is ordinarily too little."

It is an important spiritual discipline that can remind us to "set our minds on the things that are above, not on things that are on earth." (Colossians 3:2)

So "practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you." (Philippians 4:9)
