Islam teaches that minorities should be treated with the utmost respect.

Islam is in a unique position among the world religions, in that it can truly claim to promote tolerance and acceptance of all faiths. Why? Because Islam requires Muslims to believe in the validity of the divine origin of all of the Prophets and Books of God, not just the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Muslims believe that Islam is the pinnacle of a process of religious evolution, which began with Adam (pbuh) and includes Noah (pbuh), Moses (pbuh ), Jesus (pbuh), and many others.

Yet, this does not mean that only Muslims can acquire salvation. True Islam uniquely recognizes that no one religion holds a monopoly over salvation. The Holy Quran clearly supports this belief as it declares, “Surely, those who believe and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians—whichever party from among these truly believes in God and the Last Day and does good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve” (2:63).
