📖 A Morning of Learning, Questions, and Growing in Faith

If your child has ever wondered how to talk with someone who believes differently, or you've wanted to help prepare them to stand confidently on God's Word, Closer Look is designed just for them.

Students in 4th–6th grade will spend the morning learning from Stephen Cserhalmi as he shares from Scripture and his years of ministry among Muslim communities.

Throughout the event, students will enjoy:

🙌 Worship together
📖 Two engaging teaching sessions
❓ Two intentional Q&A sessions where they can ask honest questions
🍕 Lunch and dessert
🎒 A take-home resources to continue learning with the family

Our prayer is that every student leaves encouraged, equipped, and more confident in both knowing and sharing their faith with truth, grace, and Christlike love.

🎸 Ready to Learn Acoustic Guitar?

Have you ever wanted to learn to play the acoustic guitar while growing in your ability to worship and serve? Our Beginning Acoustic Guitar Class is a great place to start!

Adults and kids ages 11 and up are invited to join us for 6 sessions where you'll learn the basics of acoustic guitar and practice songs that can be used to serve in our Kids Ministry.

Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or just want to build your confidence, we'd love to have you join us! 🎶

🔎 Helping Kids Stand Firm in Their Faith

As parents, one of our greatest responsibilities is preparing our children to know God's Word and confidently live out their faith.

That's why we're excited to offer Closer Look: Understanding Islam & Defending Your Christian Faith for students in 4th–6th grade.

During this special apologetics forum, students will learn the key differences between Christianity and Islam, discover why those differences matter, and be equipped to lovingly explain and defend their faith in a world where they'll increasingly encounter people with different beliefs.

The morning includes worship, two engaging teaching sessions, dedicated Q&A opportunities, lunch, dessert, and take-home resources to help continue these conversations at home.

We're also excited to welcome Stephen Cserhalmi, who previously served as a missionary in Morocco and continues ministering to Muslim communities through evangelism and outreach.

There are so many ways to be part of what God is doing at VBS from serving as a group guide with the kids, to painting the stage set, and everything in between! Adults and youth going into 7th grade and up are invited to join our amazing VBS team (pending requirements below).

📌 Requirements to Serve:
To ensure a safe and well-prepared team, all servants must:

• Consider CCCV your home church and have attended for 6 months or more
• Complete the VBS Servant Sign-Up form
• Receive approval from Kids Ministry Administration

Sign up by Wednesday, July 1st to make sure you’re approved before the All Servants Meeting.

🙌 Areas to Serve:
We need help in the following areas:

• Group Guide (Biggest Need!)
• Craft
• Snack
• Registration
• Set-Up / Tear-Down
• Office Assistant
• First Aid Station
• Security
• Recreation (Outdoor Games)
