I just heard an interview this morning on the radio with a doctor who was discussing the abortion issue. He referenced this attached picture taken many years ago, of a child, in the womb, grasping the doctor's hand as he was performing a delicate surgery on the baby. This baby's name is Steven ... and he is now in college, has a girlfriend, and is an incredible young man!
The interview was discussing late term abortions. I couldn't finish the interview ... I was sobbing so hard I could barely stay on the road. A young college journalist had called an abortion clinic pretending she was in late term and wanted to ask questions about having an abortion. Here's a little of what that entailed.
"Do you do late term abortions?" (Oh yes, they did a lot of them) *Not surprised.
"Does the baby feel pain?" (No ... they don't really feel anything.) *Liars!
"Is it quick?" (No ... this is a four day procedure. First we insert a needled into the womb and inject the baby's heart with a drug that stops it from beating. The next day you come in and we give you drugs to help you dilate. The third day you come in and we remove the fetus and the surrounding tissue. The fourth day we make sure you are cleaned out and dispose of the tissue)
by this time I was sick ... sobbing ... and have been so most of the day. How could anyone be so cold-hearted, so sick of soul, as to just make light of what we all know deep inside is a little baby who feels, senses, knows touch, realizes sounds, and responds to all of those emotions?
And Arizona is voting on prop 139 ... to legalize this horrid procedure!! Don't believe them when they deny it ... read the proposition carefully and you will clearly see that is exactly what it does. Please vote no on that proposition!!
Did you know that there is now a "fellowship" in the medical field that a doctor can spend two years learning how to provide "medical care" that includes late-term abortions? After learning how to save lives for four years, now they can provide the opposite? How is that even within the scope of understanding?
I wish I could remember who was doing the program I was listening to ... it was on one of the local stations and I will try to find out which one and if the transcripts are available. NOT THAT I THINK everyone should listen ... but I want to make it available if anyone wants to "fact check" what I've written here.
